I just finished my tests so I can finish up with my little week of "Exile" to catch up with the web! I'm probably going to have to go through this again on Finals week... but anyway, I'll worry about that later! Nina, I received your package today! I love the redesign of the site (that pic of Megan on the left is one of my faves) and the message she left was so sweet. I didn't know she wanted to become a physical therapist... in her past interviews, didn't she always say she wanted to be a fashion designer or something like that? Good for her though-- it's a challenging job but really reawarding as well.

Heeee, I was just going through this thread to find pictures to post up at TheFashionSpot.com (where I've gleefully been telling all about Megan's promised return...) when I spotted this. That was the real Megan, yes. Serendipity!

Abbey, where are you located now? Is it a far drive from NYC to where you are? Mind you, this all depends on Megan herself-- if she wants to meet us (I admit, I'd be a bit scared to meet some of my fans if I thought they were all as insane as "Justin_Tyme"!!) and if she will come to New York. Maybe she'll end up going somewhere else (though NYC is pretty much the fashion capital of the US, right?) or just think it's too risky to go meet up with total strangers. Still, I would LOVE to meet her, wouldn't you guys??? OMG, if I ever got tremendously luck enough to meet her, I'd bring, like 10 disposible cameras to capture the moment on film. I mean think about it... Megan is probably going to come to New York City sometime in the Spring when she returns to modeling, both because the US Marilyn Agency headquarters is in Manhattan and because she'll probably find some modeling jobs here. So... if she doesn't mind and doesn't think we're as scary as people like Justin_Tyme and Megan Coho or whatever ... might it be possible for some of us who can make it to gather in NYC and meet her? I know we're spread all over the map here... but surely there's a couple of people in NYC that are fans of hers and Bellazon members...? I'm in the US, as is probably most ofthe people here (except Nina, of course!) I have a cousin who lives in Saudia Arabia, but I've never been to the middle east myself. But of course, I'll go there when I eventually do hajj!

Wow, no store ever got so excited about me! I don't know if I should be jealous or what. And yeah, I actually read a few articles back when the first Paris ads came out saying that Guess actually got a BIG boost from Paris' ad campaigns cause all the silly teenies that LURVED her had to go out and buy Guess stuff to look like her. Like she actually goes and wears Guess in her everyday life. But of course, Megan was modeling during the 2001 and 2002... after the world trade center bombings, there was HUGE dip in spending by US consumers so I'm not sure if things really improved because of PARIS or just because people starting spending more overall...

Honestly, I have to say the woman with the most flat-out, no-flaws PERFECT face I've ever seen is Shalom Harlow. At least in her prime (she's a little older now), her face was the most absolutely striking thing. Even models I like better (like Megan Ewing (of course!) and Polina Kouklina don't have faces as aesthetically perfect as hers. (Megan, for example, has the gapped teeth and freckles and Polina has a slightly bent nose-- which certainly don't detract from their looks but they don't have "perfect" faces either.) But Shalom-- I feel like I can look and look and look at her face and never find anything the least bit unpleasent or off about it. She somehow manages to be so unique looking-- and yet so exquisite depite it. Her profile is just-- wow, one of the most interesting and lovely in the entire world! I honestly can't think of anyone who could be considered more classically beautiful that she is.
