I'd love one last walk from Bee. I don't need her to get FB or open anything but it'd be nice to get a firm final ending. Otherwise instead she just slowly faded out from VS and it's kinda sad after how much work she did -

Ahhhh that's so detailed I love it! Also holy wow 300 girls! who ended up making your 10 person Angel line-up? I find choosing openings so hard especially this year I feel like alot of the NA really deserve a big year but there's just not enough to go around haha. (Who did you go with?) Aw I'd love to see something like that for Lily! They seem to really like her so fingers crossed? I really do think she deserves another segment open but I understand how tight it is. I'd like her to get a nice segment close for her final year. (maybe like lindsay 2014, miranda 2012/2011 or even her 2013 BI close?) Also +1 for Elsa FB (The one thing that annoys me about fan-planning shows is yet again not knowing Candice/Behati's status I'd love one last show with candy/bee/lily haha (as clauds mentioned I'm probably kidding myself)

RE: Blanca - Everything short of the excessive editing bias towards her makes sense to me in the context of VS simply using her temporarily to pander to Spain. It seems her spot was secure before castings. To me that indicates external factors at play such as a big name/publicity or in this case regional relevance because she seems to be all VS has for spain. But her exposure this show exceeds that context to me & yet I see no ulterior circumstantial evidence to support anything more? None of the VS team appear to have scoped out Spain for a show location (unless they did so in utmost secrecy) & she really isn't big enough anywhere for VS to profit from her like Cara/Gigi. I do think there was a time where Blanca was a contract candidate, but if they've resuscitated her after 2 years of exile with no adjacent shoots then contract seems a reach too? I guess right now I just put it down to poor and (entirely bizarre) editing choices. Because I just don't understand what they're gaining from putting her up front instead of their own cast... - Ed invited Alannah to the show again this year. She's pretty young so idk if she's actually dropped. (But agree on Ed discarding his former favourites) I really like Alexina so far though haha - I don't think Tay's modelling abilities are that noticeably poor to get her booted. If something went wrong I'd put it down to either Taylor's choice or maybeee VS's track record with models gaining weight? (I hope not she looks amazing) I saw from Maria's unused footage that there were some issues with filming in one of the shows so maybe alot of her footage couldn't be used... - I'm actually kind of cynical about why I think Josephine was hired and has been pushed the way she is... I have this little theory that she was supposed to play a different role than the traditional Angel role and that it's kinda not working.

My little headcannon is giving Kate the segment close was them sending her off & I think it might've been her last show? Idk haha It surprised me as well with Taylor because she's easily the NA with the highest profile... I guess in hindsight (save for Jo) they just flipped it from last year which I didn't expect.

I wanted to leave this here in case someone else finds it as curious as I do/worth discussing: I looked at the runway screentime each angel got this year and there was a massiveeee editing bias on Blanca Padilla in what was an otherwise uniform distribution of screentime. She received more runway screentime than half the Angels (including Adriana). She was the only model getting this preferential treatment (Also worth noting she was one of the first models onto that casting board.) I know the VS store is opening in Spain... but when you consider screentime/outfits, to me VS made Blanca a higher priority than most NA. (Side note: the other outlier was Taylor who was fairly marginalised in editing) (And was also last in casting board order but I never worked that order out so I guess it means nothing.... )

Oooh is your 2018 version like a fantasy one or what you think will happen/or even think should happen? It's so hard with such a large lineup! Oh man mine started super realistic (2 outfits each, following patterns, working out filming order, the usual suspects opening, realistic model casting only etc etc etc). But then I think the issue was after vsfs2017 it felt like what I considered a good strategy is now wayyyy too far removed from what VS's considers a good strategy so even under a strict framework my idea of a good move forward for the show just felt unrealistic. So I basically wound up with a show I was really dissapointed with and had zero motivation to work with wooo haha (like I said - bit of a cynical phase here.) I ended up letting the edit version devolve into a reduced, cheesy, fun version that I'll coin a 'mid season' mini edit show to kinda supplement vsfs2017 haha

I'm really cynical about VS right now so I doubt they'd budge on 5 mainline + 1 Pink...? (I totally made a whole show plan too - got waaaaay too into it then ended up cutting models out so I'd have less edits to do) I would be so ridiculously keen for BPalvin to come back...!! But I kinda feel like her response might be more of a diplomatic answer to an awkward question She carefully veered into "making an effort to do what her fanbase like" as opposed to directly referencing any interest in returning to the show.

From memory - at some point this year she had a solid presence in catalogue shoots for their website. I can't remember when/which collection but I remember making the mental note that she was 'around' in that capacity. Sameee - she's now on my favourites list I think 2017 would've been a great year to debut her as an Angel with her opening - really show her off like they used to do with New Angels. Kinda glad she was signed on with the others though... I feel like the idea of her being 'partially slept on' by VS during her contract might protect her from fandom hate a bit.

Okay I am working with a tiny slither of a screenshot here and I'm probably getting ahead of myself #disclaimer But so far - looks like winter,porcelain,goddess are the middle segments (order not yet figured out!) Pink looks to be 4th segment on the board Nomad and Punk are the bookends and I think one of them is the clear opening segment I just want to try 100% confirm it before posting it everywhere

Tbh those marks on her legs didn't look to me like Lais' goddess heels Sara's have straight straps while Lais's cross laced right? If anything based on construction I'd say its more likely to be Nomad as shown below (assuming the strap runs behind the embellishments) than it is goddess ... but even then we don't know all the shoes yet.
