Snmkytkn, I was checking the rachel williams pics you posted at TFS and they're all in bitmap, do you save your pics in that format? If so no wonder you're runnig out of space in you hard drive.

Snmkytkn, honestly, if you don't have space in your computer for big scans, you can save them and then resize them, it's not about being selfish, almost everybody likes big scans.
