So does anyone but me have an actual, useful opinion on this year's potential winners?

I haven't seen every film nominated, but here's how I expect it will go: Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor, Cate Blanchett -- Angeline Jolie wasn't nominated for "A Mighty Heart"? Ouch! That's a snub! -- for Best Actress; I'd say No Country for Old Men for Best Picture, but since it didn't get the Best Directing nod, I'll give it to Atonement, considering it won Best Drama at the Globes. <_< Javier Bardem is definitely going to win the Best Supporting Actor award for No Country. Directors are overrated, but I'll give it to La Vie En Rose just because foreign films have to be amazing to get big nominations at the Oscars, and the Academy might just want to give the film something. Not to mention, the directing category is so skewed from the best picture category that you couldn't call it an upset.

Without a 28-31 option, I guess I'll go with 26-29, assuming the woman involved is emotionally and financially ready, and in a stable relationship.

^ I agree and disagree with you, BeckyJ. It probably is a GQ pic in the sense that it's from an editorial of theirs, but at the same time, they clearly used a photo from the VS Sexy Book for it, as many mags re-use pics from the SISE shoots. Check the pic you posted against the the 6th pic that miha posted. It looks like the same outfit and hair style to me.

^ I've been scowering the internet all the time for press about the SISE to post, and it doesn't seem to me that Bar is getting in 1/50th of what Marisa is getting.

^ I think you mean "liberal," not "library." And how do you know Europeans are more liberal when it comes to nudity? After all we're talking about the nudity of an American magazine here. I don't know what Letterman meant by that, but he seemed like a somewhat crazed old man for the show, so I'm not sure he even knew what he was saying.

Oh, and I believe that SISE behind-the-scenes thing on TNT airs at 11pm EST tonight.
