Caroline and Raquel are both very healthy looking. they have incredible bodies, really. that pic of Bianca is just disturbing. tragic looking. but she managed to get over it, apparently. cause she looked great at the VS show last year. Andrea Staccu or however it's spelled. ... she's the one thats like, "WHOA!" for me. extreeeeeeme thin, bordering on near-death, i think. why on earth anyone would want her modelling their clothes is absolutely beyond my comprehension. give me KK or Gisele anyday.

i have been trying to update Karolina's IMDB page for the past hour. i apparently have NO idea how to do this. but it's really tragic that there's not the full information on there of our KK. look at Gisele's page -- there are SO many TV appearances. KK has tons as well, MOST aren't on the page. here are at least 7 appearances that I know the exact dates of. though there are certainly more. we need to update KK's page! surely someone on here knows how to do it: Entertainment Tonight - 9-26-06 Extra - 6-1-06 MTV's Total Request Live - 5-10-06 Extra - 5-12-06 Showbiz Tonight - 2-28-07 Extra - 3-1-07 CW11 Morning News - 3-19-07 in all of those she was "Herself - Guest". gah. ALSO, Karolina was on the Oprah show TWICE. she's been on Conan O'Brien and Leno numerous times. on Regis & Kelly and Access Hollywood, etc etc etc.

she's SO great on talk-shows or entertainment shows like that. i remember even a few years ago, she was all awkward with her english. it's so nice to see her really confident and comfortable and like that woman said, "karolina just seems like talking to a good girlfriend". it's true!

what about Michelle Pfeiffer? in her prime (and even now) she is, to me, the most gorgeous actress ever.

she very much has the whole "American sexy girl-next-door" vibe down perfectly. maybe she will actually become the next big commercial supermodel. (though i don't particularly find her to be that unique). definitely pretty. those ads for LIU-JO on the last page are quite good... but ...

HOLY SHIT! honest to goodness, there has never been a male model, that i've ever seen, who exudes such raw sex appeal. it's uncanny. he's the male Angelina Jolie.

she's extremely sexy, has a gorgeous face and an absolutely incredible body. she's very sexy and beautiful. i think that she maybe needs to work on her posing a bit. she looks wonderful on the catwalk, but in photographs she doesn't seem comfortable or natural. (in comparison to Gisele, for example, who's absolutely dynamic in front of the camera).

i don't think she actually HAD the baby yet. just check Google News in a few weeks and maybe there'll be something.

i think one of the main things that's necessary for a model to become a SUPERMODEL is excellent english. not just "hey, i can speak enough", but "yeah, i get your jokes, i understand the slang terms, etc". they have to appeal to the general north american public, and to do that they have to be able to make a good rapport with the talk-show hosts, the interviewers, the ET and AccessHollywood folk, etc etc. i think that's probably the single biggest reason why Adriana didn't explode the way she could have. she just sounds ... . well, it's very clear that she only understands a portion of what's being said to her. i see Ale's popularity rising like crazy. she's all over online blogs and people are definitely starting to take notice of her much more than before. she's maturing into a gorgeous woman, which helps. hopefully her english will get more conversational and casual. Daria is Canadian, so she inately understands the culture and from the few interviews i've seen with her, she does seem to have a good sense of humour, etc. i think she can definitely be as successful in the commercial modelling world as she has been in the high fashion world. she already has the Lancome beauty and fragrance ads that run internationally. she just needs to step it up a notch and get involved in more mainstream things. even if everyone sees those Hypnose ads, 90% of the people won't recognize or care about the model. they'll say, "oh, she's pretty" and move on. she could definitely take a turn in SI or on the VS runway to up her public impact. look at Carmen Kass -- she's been able to do the VS show numerous times and still be a haute couture darling. same with Eva Herzigova (VS show, SI swimsuit issue numerous times, ubiquitous Wonderbra ads, etc). the only problem with Daria is that she's quite thin. no real curves to speak of. but she does have breasts, so if she put on like 5 or 10 lbs, maybe it would do wonders for her figure. KK has always been a hit with the talk-shows and entertainment tv correspondents, etc. she's already considered a supermodel by most, and her star power is continuously rising. by this time next year, she'll be even more successful and well-known. especially if she decides to go back to doing ads and edits for the major magazines. that way the public will be able to see her in not just VS but also in other things as well. she'll bring attention to the advertisements the way that Gisele did after she became a hugely successful VS model. Selita has the personality for sure. she is unstoppable, imo. if she keeps her negative press to a minimum, or even if she doesn't, actually. it hardly matters. Naomi certainly hasn't had loads of positive press, and there's not a person on this board who'd say that she isn't a supermodel. (*note: i'm CERTAINLY not even remotely comparing Selita to Naomi. only noting that sometimes bad press, is good press*). she's very quickly going to become a fan-favourite and a men's mag favourite as well. plus she's extremely well-spoken and charismatic. she's got the star quality.

LOVE Naomi's body as well. there's nobody else who is as toned as she is. it's pretty incredible, really. especially considering she's 36 years old.

ok. that little wave. that smile. those eyes. those lips! i can't even deal. he IS the epitome of beauty. unbelievable.

that Vogue spread is one of my favourite edits of KK ever. soooooo gorgeous and filled with energy. she truly does bring some indefinable *presence* to her photos.

i think that absurdly hot English Lace ad is a pretty clear indication of what's changed at VS. look at the models: Karen Mulder (d.o.b -- July 1, 1970) Daniela Pestova (d.o.b -- October 14, 1970) Helena Christensen (d.o.b -- December 25, 1968) Tyra Banks (d.o.b -- December 4, 1973) Stephanie Seymoure (d.o.b -- July 23, 1968) SO, given that the ad was 9 years ago, in spring 1998... it would mean that the models' ages were: Karen, 27. Daniela, 27. Helena, 29. Tyra, 24. Stephanie, 29. And who has been their biggest draw since then? Arguably, it remained Tyra or Heidi Klum (June 1, 1973). compare those ages to the girls in VS right now and i think we have our answer: the general public finds WOMEN sexy, much much moreso than YOUNG GIRLS. seeing someone like Rosie Huntington-whatever or Stam, or Miranda etc etc walking down the runway in lingerie -- it just isn't sexy, because we know that these girls aren't old enough to have had some truly great sexual experiences. women reach their sexual maturity peak at age 35, NOT 18. plus, alot of 18-year-olds have tight little bodies. it's more unique to see a woman who's 25+ looking sexy and spectacular in her lingerie. she's had more life experience, she's older, she can maybe teach you a thing or two. it's the Mrs. Robinson thing.
