Very interesting...
She started booking more VS shoots after that while her HF jobs suffered. Up until 2014, early 2015, she was booking tons of shows and campaigns, and suddenly nothing.
I have a theory that it had to do with her standing up to D&G when they made comments about synthetic babies (2015?)... After that she stopped booking runways and shoots, when even the year before she was everywhere.
Looks like she doesn't even want to be there. Yikes...
Their brand was built on sexy, not childish. At this point, it's not a matter of the models, but the brand itself and those in charge of marketing and the obviously ineffective strategies they keep improving. If they went back to basics, they'd do better.
They do, doesn't mean this trip is free or just an ad for the company.
Even though I'm not a fan of some of those Angels, I don't think they're at fault for VS' issues. The biggest issue is the direction they're taking with their shoots. If they went back to the sexy, more mature vibes, it would be better all around, but going for a more laid back look is what's damaging. The girls can deliver, it's just a matter of using them in the right setting. More shoots like the ones for Valentine's Day last year would be better instead of the cutesy shoots they're pushing right now.
I don't think Zuri fits with the whole aesthetic VS is currently pushing. She's pretty and has her appeal, but unlike previous Pink girls, she doesn't really fit the mainline, same with Rachel, they tried to make her work, but it simply wasn't meant to be.
Doubt it's an ad. Alex went last year with a few friends of his, they probably just thought it was cool to go.
Just part of their holidays. They often recommend you bring several layers of clothing. I would imagine it gets quite cold & perhaps a bit humid so the different jackets would allow for the others to get dry before having to wear them again? Or just for fashion, maybe.
Also, does she even want to sign with VS? Unfortunately it's not as great as it used to be, so she might not even want to join them, for the show or otherwise.
They won't sign her until she's 18. And even then, I think she'll be way too big for a Pink contract. They might pull a Taylor with her and try and sign her as an Angel, but I kinda doubt she'll actually go for that. Imo, she'll just walk the show and that's it.

She seems like an awesome person. I'm sure her friends are lucky to have her.
