Rumors of it started happening in the earlier days of Candice's career. I do think a person can love a country but not necessarily a specific individual from that country, at the same time. But in any case, she seems to have chilled out a lot more, especially after having kids. @Souled-Out @nhlovesadri The Forbes list came out last year in the second half of November, so it should be coming up pretty soon again. Adriana will probably be very high on the list again. I hope her team keeps her on a posting-roll on Instagram too. She just put up a video for the Schutz opening, and looked great in the pink outfit at the event. I'm always so happy to see her in color.

Totally agree. I read the interview, and as someone who is neither plus-size nor trans, it still sounded insensitive and outdated. Even if they do target a specific customer base, he could have worded it a bit better to try and sound less like an a-hole. Also agree about eyerolling the "fantasy." Many of my friends don't care about fantasy bodies. They might have very briefly in their younger years, but they live in and care about the realism of their own bodies now. I texted my friend the other day about Adriana leaving, and she told me she hadn't watched the VSFS in 6 years. This "fantasy" that VS is selling is obviously not a guaranteed formula for them, if their declining sales in the last few years are anything to look at.

There might not be a video of Candice mocking Adriana because nobody would post something like that and it was reported by a worker, but as they say, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. I wouldn't be surprised though given how insecure and catty Candice was in her earlier years towards some of the other models. Adriana has mentioned getting older and joked about being the grandma of the angels, but that is in relation to all the angels. I highly doubt she would be jealous of Candice, because to be honest, nobody in VS (except Gisele) had a career that has even come close to Adriana's and very few have had HF faces at her level (I can think of Doutzen, Taylor, maybe Lily in her late twenties). But it sounds like someone is an Adriana hater, starting an account with nothing but posts just to bash her in her own subforum. I guess hater's gonna hate, but at the end of the day, a queen is still a queen.

I heard about Candice mocking Adri's accent too. Candice kind gives off major b*itch vibes to people who are more successful or better looking than her. She was that way when she had to do events with Miranda too, who also had a huge fan gathering. You could tell the chemistry with her and Miranda were just off. I've seen videos of Candice giving major eyeroll and catty looks at Ale too, and I've never really been a fan of her since. Candice seems to work better with people who don't compete with her for the limelight, or else the cattiness comes out. I really like angels who are humble and genuine. Among the new angels, I'm starting to like Taylor and Jo for that reason, even they do get a bit hyper sometimes.

Barbara Palvin looked great. She has actual curves and doesn't look emaciated. Her body is what VS needs right now. VS has a horrible history of letting go of models who gain weight even though they look fantastic (like Karolina Kurkova, Erin Heatherton), and I heard about weight issues with Barbara right around the time she stopped working for VS, but I am so glad she is back. The models from the Golden era were already lean, but somehow the models over the last few years look even thinner, down to the bone and quite painfully so. After watching the VSFS for so many years, I get really sad whenever an angel hangs up her wing, but Adriana's has been the first time I actually cried. There will be waterworks come the December airing.

There's something about that makeup. Look at where they put the contour and blush - it's nearly up to her eyes and there's a lot of it too. The blush is supposed to hit the apple of the cheek- more towards the middle and the bottom half. Where it's located, it's making her whole cheek much rounder, and a slightly puffy swollen look, which is probably emphasized by the fact that she has been crying.

Wow. Has VS hit such a low on money that they're literally now using Tshirts or else ugly ballooning fabrics as outfits? I thought that Jo's outfit looked pretty bad in the photos, but I actually bursted into laughter when she started moving in it. It kind of jiggles like Jello. Hehehe. One upshot of having these bad outfits is that at least the show will be funny.

Yikes. Taylor's opening looks pretty weak. Girl needs some caffeine to wake her up. It's too bad they didn't give much to Sara. I was rewatching compilations of all the walks of the angels, and Sara has one of the stronger, more energetic walks of the NA. When this airs in December, Adriana leaving will probably steal the spotlight and a lot of people will be drowning in Kleenexes.

I'm so confused. Just a few months ago, she posted about wanting to stay on for a couple more years. She's always wanted to do the fashion show for a long time, and the brand doesn't require her commitment for any other events. Do you think VS has set a timer on her and discreetly pushed her and Ale out? I was also surprised when Ale hung up her wings last year since Ale has always actively sought media coverage. It's just such a sudden turn from what Adriana was saying a few months ago, and what she's been saying for her whole career. If this is Adriana's last show, I honestly don't think I'll be watching the fashion show anymore. I've been hanging by a thread with VS these last few years. Them letting Adriana go will really drive the nail into the coffin. Their viewership numbers are already bad, and this will probably just make them tank even more after this. The fashion show without Adriana is nothing. Not enough appeal to keep watching. Truly an ending.

@Souled-Out My thoughts exactly. Here's a very similar post I was working on. It's quite natural that any angel will have people who don't like them. But in the case of Adriana, dealing with the hate comes with the territory of being VS's oldest, biggest, and most iconic Angel. I actually think that Adriana is one of the best-loved angels. Whenever I read the Comment sections of news outlets, all the other angels always seem to get ripped to shreds with comments that are way meaner and nastier than the things said about Adriana. I get the sense that those who don't like her tend to be very young fans or those who don't have a strong understanding of the industry and her role in it, and they tend to be very vocal about it on places like Instagram or Bellazon. While I do think there are many things she could do better or consider for constructive criticism (eg. how she handles social media), anybody who knows VS well or knows the modeling era of the last 2 decades, also knows Adriana's unshakeable position in it. She was unbelievably huge and unforgettable as a model when she was at her height, in ways that I haven't seen any later Angel be able to replicate as of yet. Her influence is not to be underestimated; she has shaped the image of the VS angel more than anyone else. All of the other current angels have followed in her footsteps or taken after her in some way. At her peak, every girl friend I had was on the Adriana train. She has amassed a huge following. Don't be fooled by Instagram, which is a platform dominated by younger audiences. A lot of Adriana's fans aren't as active or vocal on social media, but they sure as hell are still out there. I think she should stay with VS and follow her heart; she clearly wants to be with VS for a few more years and she is always so excited for every show, even if she doesn't post about it (which she should!). I'd personally like to see her stay for at least 3 more years until she hits 40, as that would break a glass ceiling. It's a sad thing that the modeling industry too often views beauty as something only possible in teens and twenty-something year olds, as if women are suddenly worthless after a certain age and as if their fans themselves don't age. I have a lot of respect for models like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, who kept working into their 40's and pushing against the ageism that sadly limits this industry. Go Adriana. She has always been the persistent one and the absolute hard-worker. If anybody can push the limits, it'll be her.

I do think seniority still matters somewhat. VS undoubtedly plays favorites, and it may take some Angels a longer time to get a FB, but they do eventually get it if they can stick with the brand long enough and don't lose their contract. Take Ale for example. It took her over 10 years before she got her first one despite extreme dedication and being worked to the bone by them. But it eventually happened. Lily has never really been that big of a VS player like some of the other girls, but she got it. The trick is to be liked well enough by the company for them to keep the Angel contract in first place, which would then lead to a chance with the FB, which not all angels have been able to do. You can also see the seniority thing happening with the New Angels. Unsurprisingly, the New Angels who have gotten the FB are also the ones who have walked and worked the longest with VS: Elsa (including this year, 8 years), Lais (8), and Jasmine (7).

When she leaves VS, I really hope she gets a 4th too. It would be well-deserved, since no other Angel in the history of VS has done or meant as much to the brand as Adriana. Funny enough, the success of VS has always mirrored Adriana's own career. She started walking for the fashion show very early in its infancy, both hit their peaks together, and it looks like both are slowly dwindling down together. I can't imagine VS going on for very many more years after Adriana leaves; the company has not been doing well for a while now, and unless they make meaningful changes, it'll only be a matter of time until the company and the fashion show itself burns out of money. Behati will get a FB if she can hang on long enough, but she may not even want to at this point. Seniority still matters very much in terms of who gets the FB. VS underused Doutzen when she was still an angel, but Doutzen definitely would have gotten the FB had she decided to stay longer. Lily got it, and Doutzen was bigger than Lily. I really hope Adriana shows up soon. I'm getting antsy not getting more recent confirmation, but I do believe she'll be there since VS will have a PR mess on their hands if she isn't.

I don't think VS would begrudge Behati a FB if she stayed long enough. The problem is that she and Adam Levine want 500 more kids, which means her next decade will probably be spent mostly in pregnancy.

Candice has looked bored AF and kind of miserable at the VSFS for a few years now.

Best FB: Lais’ Champaigne Nights (2018), Ale and Adriana’s Dream Angels (2014), Miranda’s Treasure (2011) All of these on close-up have intricate designs and coordinated color schemes. There are some I almost included here but didn’t because I’m just counting the bra itself without the outfit. For example, Gisele’s 2005 Sexy Splendor is iconic and so memorable, but its success was more dependent on the entire Christmas outfit than just the bra itself. Worst FB: Lily’s Fireworks (2015) – underwhelming, no color scheme, just a whole bunch of sparkly gems, made worse by the red bra underneath; it was also rather poorly fitted. I don’t know if it was because Lily lost so much weight, but there was a huge gap between her actual breast and the bra. Candice’s Royal (2013) – The colors really clash, the combination of bright pink and garish yellow (with a bit of white, blue, and red too) makes the bra look kind of tacky and juvenile compared to others, but it looks a little better in photos where the colors were photoshopped and muted. Having Candice wear it helped a lot to mask the tackiness. Selita’s Very Sexy Holiday (2007) – the outdated holiday plant garnish on the edges did nothing to make this super plain bra any better. Karolina’s Star of Victoria (2002) – the floral design has not aged well and was just kind of ugly. Anything before 2000 looked pretty plain/bad, but luckily they have evolved over the years. I almost added Ale’s 2012 Floral to the Worst list because I’m not sure if it looks a bit tacky or maybe if it was just going for that floral hipster vibe. As I flipped through images of the FB over the years, what’s surprising is that some of the most expensive bras aren’t necessarily the best-looking ones.

Oh my. What did they do to her hair? It looks like a square block of hair gel camping out on her head. What did Adriana's hair ever do wrong to deserve this kind of treatment? I am really over this slicked back hair trend that has been so popular the last few years. I cringe every time I see Gigi Hadid wear it, and she does it a lot. It's very disturbing.

@Sophie20 Agree on the black. It's so annoying because it's her favorite color to wear, but also the color that arguably looks worst on her, especially now that she's in her mid 30's. I think black ages her, makes everything look harsher, and magnifies most of her features for the worst. I liked her hair color when it was a lighter brown. Colors in general soften her appearance and make her look better. Especially jewel tones. She looked really good in that gold dress she wore for the IWC event and the red one she wore recently. Those colors bring out her warm tones and give her such a nice glow. On the other hand, that black dress that she wore to the Met gala made her look muted and tired. And the black dress she wore to Cannes last year with Joe also aged her and made her look washed out. Less black all the time, Adriana! It might suit the mood or whatever, but it doesn't look as good.

Adriana can do whatever she wants with her life. But a lot of things don’t square up for her fans when she posts things that run opposite to what she is doing. For example, she’s always posting quotes about not wanting to be desired for the way she looks, but then she goes for people with a very obvious look/physique. I don’t see what’s wrong with several fans pointing out the inconsistencies or simply stating what they feel. This is a discussion, where things are open for just that — discussion. It’s not called a Flattery or an Adulation Forum for a reason. People are allowed to voice their thoughts and reactions, and dare I say, criticism? What’s the point in denying that there’s actually a negative reaction out there? That people are interested in her personal life? That Instagram is basically the curation of one’s personal life, and Adriana uses it to maintain her modeling power? As a model, she is going to be subject to criticism and public opinion, as any other model or celebrity.

I’ve always loved Adriana, but things are going downhill fast. It’s like she’s having some sort of in-my-30’s-no-longer-in-my-prime-and-can’t-keep-a-stable-relationship crisis. For the life of me, I never would have thought that Adriana would turn into the man-eater/cougar type, but it sure is shaping up that way. Everything about her seems incredibly dark now. From her clothing, to her attitude, to her relationships. It’s like she never got over the Marko split. Every relationship or fling since her divorce has been patterned on this athletic/meathead womanizer type in his late 20’s/early 30’s that has led to nowhere. And now she’s slowing turning into one of them too. I’m not saying she needs to be in a relationship to be happy, but it’s obvious based on her Instagram posts that she thinks about it a lot. @ Mo- You are completely right about the quoting stuff. People who are secure in their lives usually don’t feel the need to defend themselves with quotes. And Adriana has been doing nothing but quoting about being a queen, having female strength and empowerment, not needing a man, how men should treat women, etc. Which tells you that she is actually pretty obsessed about her relationship status. You don’t see any of the other VS models doing that on Instagram, and coincidentally, they’re all in stable relationships. I hated the idea of her dating Harvey. He was a bad choice for a partner and just as bad as Edelman. But I have to say, that was pretty immature of her to post that Instagram dig at him. Her dating life seems like an absolute trainwreck. I really don’t know what to think about the fact that she now seems even more reckless than a womanizer like Harvey.

Uggh. Adriana has such bad taste in men. She always goes after the athletic meatheads. I know that she's an athletic person herself, but it couldn't hurt to try other kinds of people, especially the types NOT known for their sexual prowess. She deserves so much better than what she keeps doing to herself (assuming that she's looking for someone serious). I haven't been impressed by any of the guys she's been with; they don't strike me as having a lot of class.. I'm glad she got out of the Edelman thing, but now the next athlete's already here. Boo. I'd also like to see her try it out with someone her age or older, someone who is a bit more mature. I have nothing against the younger guys, but clearly, from the way things are going, the ones that she chooses are not the serious, long-term-relationship material kind of guy just yet. I've been a fan for so many years, and it's really heartbreaking to see how these relationships have changed her over time. Pre-Marko era, she used to be so upbeat, goofy, full of joy and enthusiasm for life. You could see that energetic, endearing spark in her interviews. Some of my favorite Adriana videos were from that era. Post-Marko, I don't know how to describe it and it's really subtle, but she seemed a bit more jaded, started wearing a lot more black, and something about her just seemed to harden, if you pay close attention. Something definitely changed. And I think it's really sad, because growing older doesn't mean you have to harden.

I don't have anything against sexual pics per se, and in fact I think it can be a very good way to sell yourself, but when it seems to be happening non-stop like it does on Candice's account, it gets to be overly much. Balance is key. I'm hoping motherhood will bring us new kinds of dimensions to Candice's persona. And I think Josephine's is much, MUCH more balanced than Candice's. My personal thoughts on a few VS Instagrams: Josephine: Probably my favorite VS Instagram account at the moment. It has a lot of personality, and a lot of diverse things going for it. Fun and quirky. Who wouldn’t love a picture of a girl gorging on her pizza? She can have a smoking hot bikini picture one day. Then a Princess Leia imitation picture the next. I like that she is not afraid to show her goofy, less-than-glamourous side. Really love it so far. Taylor: A bit underwhelming and kind of devoid of personality. To be honest, I have less of an idea about the persona she is trying to create than with nearly everybody else’s. A lot of the same facial expression. Always uses the same annoying filter. I’m surprised that she’s gotten as much as she has. I am hoping her account will voice more individuality and personality in the coming years as she picks up more followers. Alessandra: A lot of beach girl pictures. Probably too much of it. Adriana: Love her, but she can do a lot better. A lot of workout, sweaty pictures. The same selfie face shot all the time. The girl’s undoubtedly got glam. If only she knew how to work it on Instagram…. Lol. Candice: A bit too much. Really overwhelming on the sexuality. There were so many times when I flipped through her account, and it’s nothing but naked bums, or yet another poor bikini wedged up between her butt crack, or topless photos one after the other. It’s great at first, but overwhelming after a while. I think this is Candice’s biggest mistake because she has been branding herself as nothing but a sex kitten, which is great for getting followers (after all, sex does sell), but absolutely horrible for her HF career. I really can’t imagine Taylor or Adriana getting their biggest contracts going the route of constant nudity and hyper body exposure. For a while, some of the new angels seemed like they were going down the Candice route, but luckily they’ve learned to diversify their Instagram accounts. Over-sexing your public image is great for the masses (who wouldn’t want to see a nice body?), but I think that Candice could have gotten a lot farther in her career if she hadn’t tried to brand herself exclusively as some sort of a sexpot. Hope the new VS angels pick up on that. Lily: Mostly meh. Her face shots have, however, gotten much better over the years. You can also count on Lily to play up her TSwift girl clique connections. Behati: Adam Levine’s other half. Really odd and offbeat. Kind of gives off a pothead persona. Lol…..

@Sanni Completely agree. I hope they don't make Vita an angel. And I'm not saying that just to be mean. But I've always found something very disturbing about the body image she projects. We all know how harsh and critical the modeling industry can be, and Vita seems to embody the idea that yes, you should completely change anything and everything about yourself to conform to the standards of others. I don't think Adriana has had work done. Hers gets larger or smaller based on her weight fluctuations. Plus, she still hasn't even straighteneed her teeth after all these years. Ale, on the other hand, I think has. She was never this full before. And watching a few clips of her in live motion without pushup, I've noticed that her boobs hang kind of weird nowadays. But like Jo's, they are done well.

Vita's lips also look pretty bad in a few of her Instagram shots. In the first photo, the upper lip is completely swollen with injections. It's so swollen, it actually goes above the upper lip line. Her natural lips are thin, like the last photo. But at least with these lip injections, they fade with time.

Wow, you guys are really good at spotting this kind of stuff! I always though Jo's were natural, until you guys pointed it out here. I then searched for some of her earlier pictures, and wow! Amazing surgeon indeed.
