  3. Sarah Paulson is the Iconic ‘Cuckoo’s Nest’ Villain in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix Series “Ratched The 8-episode series tells the origin story of iconic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest villain Nurse Mildred Ratched, inviting us to “meet the woman before the monster.” The “suspenseful drama” premieres September. As expected based on the first images this series looks to essentially be an unofficial new season of “American Horror Story,” promising to be a tasty treat that will hold fans of the FX series over until the tenth season arrives next year. Meet Sarah Paulson’s Nurse Ratched “In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.” The series stars Sarah Paulson as Mildred Ratched, Cynthia Nixon as Gwendolyn Briggs, Judy Davis as Nurse Betsy Bucket, Sharon Stone as Lenore Osgood, Jon Jon Briones as Dr. Richard Hanover, Finn Wittrock as Edmund Tolleson, Charlie Carver as Huck, Alice Englert as Dolly, Amanda Plummer as Louise, Corey Stoll as Charles Wainwright, Sophie Okonedo as Charlotte and Vincent D’Onofrio as Gov. 4. Remember the 1992 Nightmare Comedy ‘Stay Tuned’? It’s Being Turned into a TV Series Back in 1992, John Ritter and Pam Dawber starred in Morgan Creek’s Stay Tuned as a married couple who find themselves in possession of a brand new satellite dish, one that carries 666 channels and ultimately sucks them into a hellish world called “Hellevision.” In order to save their souls, they have to survive 24 hours inside twisted versions of iconic programs. The film was directed by Peter Hyams, and believe it or not, it’s being reported by Deadline that a television series adaptation of the wacky concept is in the works at AMC Studios. The “Stay Tuned” series comes from Ian Goldberg (“Fear the Walking Dead”) and Richard Naing, the duo who wrote Andre Ovredal’s horror movie The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Morgan Creek Entertainment will executive produce the series.
  5. Noemí seeks to unveil the family’s violent and menacing secrets, but her confidence is quickly threatened and there may be no escaping the walls of her strange, new home.” Moreno-Garcia is on board to executive produce along with Milojo Productions.
  6. HBO Channels ‘The Wicker Man’ With Limited Series “The Third Day” in September Created by Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett, HBO’s “The Third Day” is coming in September, and it’s taking the unique approach of being told in two parts, across six episodes. “Summer” follows Sam, a man drawn to a mysterious Island off the British coast, who encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost. “Winter” unfolds over the latter three episodes with Helen, a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers – but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate. Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson and Paddy Considine star. “The Third Day” premieres September 14 at 9PM.
  7. Ridley Scott’s HBO Max Series “Raised by Wolves Mother was programmed to protect everyone after Earth had been destroyed. When the big bad wolf shows up, she is the one we must trust. Originally set up at TNT, Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi series “Raised by Wolves” is soon coming our way from HBO Max, and a pretty wild first trailer has been unleashed onto the net today. Much like the Alien franchise that Ridley Scott brought into the world, “Raised by Wolves” features both androids and creatures, and I’m pretty sure I’m already hooked on the unique world it’s presenting. It almost feels like a case of Scott, who co-created and co-directs the series, freeing himself from the shackles of the Alien franchise. Here he looks to be playing with ideas he explored with his prequels, only now no longer beholden to that mythology or fan expectation. With a sequel to Covenant unlikely, this may be the next best thing. The good news? We don’t have to wait very long to start watching. “Raised by Wolves” will be hitting HBO Max on September 3. While you wait, check out your first look below! The sci-fi drama is about androids raising human children in an outer-space colony. Written by Aaron Guzikowski, it focuses on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious, virgin planet. As the colony of humans divides over religious differences, the androids learn controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous, difficult job. The cast includes Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah and Ivy Wong. “Raised by Wolves” comes from Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions (The Good Fight, The Man in the High Castle), Turner’s Studio T and Madhouse Entertainment. Scott, Guzikowski, Scott Free’s David W. Zucker and Jordan Sheehan and Madhouse’s Adam Kolbrenner and Robyn Meisinger will serve as exec producers.
  8. Steve Alten’s Digital Series ‘Where Sea Monsters Roam’ Unleashes Aquatic Horrors With First Trailer The most terrifying sea monsters in history… are no longer history. NY Times and international best-selling author Steve Alten, the writer of the Meg books that made their way onto the big screen back in 2018, is back this summer with brand new project Sea Monster Cove, billed as “a never before seen form of virtual entertainment.” Along with an immersive 360VR experience and a multi-player game, as well as an educational center, tours, e-store and more, SeaMonsterCove.com will host the episodic “Where Sea Monsters Roam,” a 13-episode digital series directed by and starring Maxime Ginolin. The official press release sent to BD today explains, “Every month a new episode of the series will be released along with other perks within the virtual park. To thank the “early birds” the first 10,000 visitors will be offered V.I.P. membership, providing the most privileges and bonuses at the guaranteed lowest price of only $9.95 a month.” In “Where Sea Monsters Roam”: “While in the Northern Marianas on assignment, marine biologist Dr. Maxime Rostand performs an emergency C-section on what he believes is a pregnant Basking shark caught in the net of a Taiwanese fishing trawler, only to discover a new species – Carcharocles daemonium – a 60-foot prehistoric Mako. Only two of the dead female’s fifteen pups survive; Snowflake (an albino) and Layla (pure black demon). Faced with a choice of killing the sharks or risk introducing an ancient apex predator into our oceans, Dr. Rostand and his companions decide to raise the siblings in Maug’s lagoon which they believe shares the same hot mineral waters as the mysterious habitat from which their mother fled – a lost primordial aquifer that dates back 330 million years.”
  9. Fear Street’: Netflix Acquires Movie Trilogy Adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Books for Summer 2021 Premiere R.L. Stine adaptations have been acquired by Netflix! It’s being called the “Summer of Fear.” Previously announced cast includes Gillian Jacobs, Sadie Sink, Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Emily Rudd, McCabe Slye, Fred Hechinger, Julia Rehwald, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Jeremy Ford. FEAR STREET 1: In 1994, in the aftermath of a brutal tragedy in Shadyside, Ohio, a group of teens discover that a series of horrifying events that have plagued their town over many years might not be random, and that they may be the next victims. FEAR STREET 2: In 1978, Camp Nightwing is divided by the campers and counselors who hail from the of prosperous town of Sunnyvale and the campers and maintenance staffers from the downtrodden town of Shadyside, but when horrors from their towns shared history come alive, they must band together to solve a terrifying mystery before it’s too late. He was added to the SI Swimsuit site with MJ gushing over him and his video then it was quickly removed. I'd say unless something changes, he'll be in the magazine. When you clicked on the link he was the only person who she was freaking out about, then she closed to page within minutes.
