Australian supermodel Catheine McNeil is back, after a one-year break from modelling, for Seafolly's Preview 2012 campaign.

Shot by David Gubert at Bondi beach the images could not be more classically Australian!

Check out our Q&A with Catherine below and watch the behind the scenes video from the shoot. Here comes the sun…

Are you excited to be working with Seafolly?

"I am very pleased that I can represent the brand again. It's always a pleasure to work with Seafolly. The brand is stylish, fashionable, innovative, comfortable and diverse."

How is it working with David Gubert?

"The last Seafolly job I did was with David. He knows how to capture the quintessential Australian moment in the most sophisticated way. Plus I enjoy working with David – it's always a pleasure and lots of fun."

What do you love most about summer time?

"Havaianas on my feet!"

You recently took a break from modelling. Tell us a little bit about that.

"I started modelling very young and I needed time for myself, so I took a break for a bit over a year. I needed to take a step back so that I could understand who I am and learn more about myself, so I stayed home with my family. It was a very important time in my life which allowed me to appreciate the industry that I am in and my job."

What did the hiatus from modelling enable you to learn?

"I spent time with my friends, travelled across Australia, and, for the first time, enjoyed the amazing beaches we have. Having that time was crucial for me; I was 13 when I started modelling, quite blessed that my career took off so quickly, but once I left home I needed to act as an adult. I worked a lot and wasn't able to come back home, so I missed my family and friends and had this growing sense of losing myself. Having the free time to realise who I am and what I want in life was priceless. I went back to modelling with excitement, appreciation, and happiness. I recently moved back to New York; I left that city disliking it, and now I can appreciate it again."

What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

"I have been sorting out my life and finally it seems like all is falling into place. I keep my head up and hope for the best."
