babranski Posted March 18, 2005 Author Share Posted March 18, 2005 The favorite is the team with the highest seed, or rank. The teams are seed 1 - 16 in one of the four brakets, so theyre are four number 1 seeds, four number 2 seeds, four number 3 seeds, and so on. The teams are placed in each bracket to spread the best seeds apart. So 1 seed will play 16 seed, 2 seed 15 seed, and so on until the 8 seed plays the 9 seed.
