GUN cops stormed a flat belonging to soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo – after he unwittingly rented it to an alleged violent criminal.

The pre-dawn swoop was part of an investigation into a series of carjackings and cash machine raids.

A neighbour said: “The police brought out a guy in handcuffs and black bags and took things from the garage.

“Three guys lived there. They were always driving different, powerful cars.”

Real Madrid star Ronaldo, 26, bought the two-storey flat in Alcochete, near the Portuguese capital Lisbon, in 2008 while still playing for Manchester United.
