Claudia Schiffer is new brand ambassador of Opel

Rüsselsheim.  Claudia Schiffer has graced the cover of over 1,000 magazines and is named as one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her ability to appeal to a global audience has ensured an internationally successful career spanning over 25 years. She is UNICEF ambassador and incontestably a real world star. Originally from the Rhineland, Claudia now slips into her next role as the German face of Opel in Europe. She is taking center stage in the new campaign ‘It’s a German’ that already in January will celebrate its TV premiere right across Europe – except in Germany and the United Kingdom.

In small, fine and very emotional stories, Claudia Schiffer charmingly illustrates Opel’s ‘Made in Germany’ concept. The uniqueness of Opel’s models, imbued with the German art of engineering and with clever door concepts such as that demonstrated by the Meriva, and well-honed all-wheel drive technology as presented in the Mokka, is a significant theme of the TV advertising. At the end of each commercial, Claudia Schiffer delivers the entrancing punchline: “It’s a German”.

Opel Chief Marketing Officer Tina Müller says full of enthusiasm: “The campaign puts across those modern German values that have also been appreciated internationally. Today, Opel stands for the perfect German art of engineering, an emotional design and an unbeatable price-value relationship. With Claudia Schiffer we were able to win a German world star who fully identifies with the brand.”

Claudia Schiffer also raves about her first working days as Opel brand ambassador: “We filmed the first commercial in mid-December in Barcelona. The new Opel models stand for great German engineering as well as innovation and practicality. The Meriva with its rear-hinged rear doors is unique and a first for Opel. It is fantastic for families like mine.”

Claudia Schiffer. Helena Christensen. Linda Evangelista. The supermodel phenomenon was going full tilt at the Spring 1991 collections, and naturally, Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld was at the center of it all:

^ Thanks so much! Those video links are priceless- trying to find older Chanel shows can be a very difficult process!  :->

Thank you! welcome, yes, there are some very old Chanel show videos around, but quality is not very good. I think here are also some posted. Claudia looked so lovely young and schoolgirlish at her first Chanel show appearance.

If you can also try find, I tried, there was also a video around of a beach shooting in 1993 with her and Gilles Bensimon, where they were shooting at beach, she weared something blue, it was for US Elle. Saw it many years ago. Amazing. And there was also a video at television begin of 90 th were she was accompanied one day from a film team in Paris. She talked about her first days in Paris where her mother was with her, about her first cover etc. and she was shown at the SS shows that year and also at Chanel store and met KL. Never found this again. I saw it in television that time and would love to see again.

But I can´t wait now for the first Videos for Opel " It´s a german" . I hope we see soon, because campain should be launched in January 2014! So I wonder that there is still no more information and I also wonder that there are not more pictures around!?

Also Rodenstock will be launched next week! Than Claudia will be in Germany, Munich at the Opti exhibition from 10 th- 12 th of January. Sadly I have to work becaue it would be great to see her when she will be in Germany so close at my hometown. But cant wait for pictures
