Biography

Mike Campbell was one of the top male models in the late 1990s. Due to the nature of the business and the agencies’ failure to further establish him, Mike Campbell has fallen off the map in the last a few years and is gradually fading away from the spotlight. Nevertheless, Mike Campbell’s sense of style in modeling and his outgoing, charming personality has made lasting impressions.

Born in the splendid Hawaiian paradise of Honolulu to the world of fashion, Mike started modeling at the age of 20, when an agent spotted him in a bar in Los Angeles. Like most of the American models at the time, Mike’s career was overshadowed by the pack of European models in the early 90s. Even so, he managed to appear in high profile fashion editorials such as Details, and the famous Cavlin Klein campaign, CK One.

Mike was marked with success, when he carried out a press campaign for D&G, which brought him to the notice of the vast public that does not follow fashion shows closely. His career reached an even higher platform when he was featured in Emporio Armani fragrance campaign. The controversial content of sexuality transcended in the TV commercial raised the public’s interest in the product as well as the models.

A list of impressive works under Mike’s belt to date includes Gap, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger. However, the success never went to his head and he has always been the pleasant, polite young man whom everyone finds it easy to work with.

The real love of Mike is comics - he draws them. His profession as a model offered him the opportunity to work with and learn from famous designers. In his spare time, Mike frequently rides the waves of the Pacific on a surfboard or skies on snow-covered peaks. Mike also has a very unusual hobby: he buys vintage cars and repairs them himself before selling them again. As regards to his style of dressing, his free, sportive spirit leads him to opt for designer labels with a casual look.

Mike represented the appeal of American models to the rest of the world in the late 90s and paved the way for success of the other American models today. The arrival of the new millennium didn't bring any luck to Mike’s modeling career, but his sexy image and his inner quality still shines through for years to come.

i found 2 galleries of pics of mike campbell (note spelling is "campbell", not "cambell") at this site:

http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/rege...86/mikepage.htm

oops ... sorry. after posting, i went to the site & clicked on each of the thumbnail images -- they all give the same response: "file not found". however, toward the bottom of the thumbnail pages, there is a "email me" hotmail address ... perhaps that person would be willing to provide photos of Mike Campbell to those who want? at least those poses that are shown in the thumbnails? good luck.
