Megan Ewing

I posted it up on the MeganEwing.net board... and right after that, when I go to the Wikipedia page again, I see someone deleted ALL references to MeganEwing.net.  :o

You need to report this to the editors of Wikipedia.

They will protect that article, so no one can change it.

Heidegger, do you know how I can do this? I'd be extremely grateful if this was the case! Because Guess what... whatever loser (Justin, cough cough) edited MeganEwing.net out of Megan's Wikipedia profile AGAIN today. I guess they didn't realize that when you do a search for "Megan Ewing" on google-- MeganEWing.net appears as the 4th page listed! (And it's #1 on Yahoo search! ) Yeah, sooo many people will miss out on the site if it isn't listed in Wikipedia, right? :p

Zara, Trimalynn, I could not agree with you more when I say that this person, whoever or WHATEVER they are needs some damn professional help! :( This is, like, getting all psycho scary here. Am I going to have to start worrying about someone trying to chop me or Trimalynn up in the shower now?

I'm not overly concerned about the wikipedia thing. This person is being shut down all over the internet. Model Mayhem, fake My Space profiles, and the site they were building.

They have no concept of copyright law. If Megan doesn't approve of her likeness being used, since her likeness is her trademark and her advertisement, then she has the right to tell any site to take her pictures off.

Three people have public and private coyprights to photographs. The advertiser (assuming there is one), the photographer, and the subject.

For instance, I've spoken with Jonathan Miller regarding Megan's Mango pics. Jonthan has the right to use the Mango pics on his site, because it is his work and his portfolio, but Mango owns the pictures. And Megan has the right to use the Mango pictures, because she is the subject.

This person believes that if it's on the internet, it's public property when nothing can be further from the truth.

The scans are my intellectual property as well. The file itself is mine because I scanned it, I cleaned it, I own the file. I do not own the picture of course, that is the photographer/the advertiser/Megan.

You can't just take anything off any page and call it yours. You probably remember Victoria's Secret demanding someone take their pictures off of an Adriana Lima site. You'll notice there aren't many Triumph the Insult Comic Dog or whatever his name is sites because the station that harbors Conan O'Brien's show made all sites take down any videos of Triumph.

I think this person-- Justin or Megan Coho or whoever he/she is-- has pretty much proven they don't honestly have much of a clue about ANYTHING at this point... let alone how, oh say, ripping off someone's site all the way and claiming to be representing a celeb's name on the web might get them in trouble.

The Wikipedia thing... it's no big deal, of course. I just find it SO hilarious that this person is going through SUCH great lengths to make life difficult for Me.net... and failing so spectacularly. :p

I'm glad Megan has copyrights to the photographs of herself-- this means that Victoria's Secret (or really, any other company) can't eventually stumble across the site and ask that things be taken down! :fun:

And is this the Jonathan Miller who took the Mango photos of Megan? It would be awesome if you could get these photographers to donate pics of Megan that she herself might not have at hand. Maybe they would be even more tempted if you updated the "biography" page by including a list of all the photographers she's worked with? It's a pretty impressive list so far with (just off the top of my head) Raphael Mazzucco, Mario Sorrenti, Bruce Weber, Pablo Alfaro...

D'oh, never mind-- those pics are inthe screencaps section. Shouldn't have doubted you, Trimalynn.  :p

But anyway... just for a change of pace... here's SIMS!Megan.

The hair should be brown, not black, and I miss the freckles... but so cute.  :p

 That is so funny, even moreso cause I've seen it before! I'm an avid sims player when the bug hits me

Yup, that's the guy. He didn't have any for me, but I'm sure I'll get some eventually. That's a good idea about the photographers. If you want to get me a longer list that would be great, and I can get some from Meg as well.

Well... here's the list of photogs for Megan that I've compiled so far...

Megan's Photographers:

Frederic Auerbach (Skiny) http://www.renehauser.com/FredericAuerbach...o/index.php?i=1

Pablo Alfaro (Guess) http://www.pabloalfaro.com/

Dean Isidro (Guess) http://www.deanisidro.com/

Raphael Mazzucco (Guess and Various Editorials) http://www.miconworldwide.com/

Mario Sorrenti (Spanish Vogue Editorial?) http://www.mariosorrenti.com/

Bruce Weber (Abercrombie and Fitch) http://www.bruceweber.com/

Jonathan Miller (Mango) http://www.jonathanmillerphotography.com/

Eric Fischer (Test Shoot?) http://www.ericfischer.com/

Doug Ordway (Elle editorials) http://www.dougordway.com/

Patric Shaw (Glamour editorials) http://www.jedroot.com/photogr/ps/psframeset.html

I'm not sure who shot her for Victoria's Secret (Russel James maybe? http://www.russelljames.com/) or La Perla or miscellanious things like her many catalogs or editorials and covers. Hopefully she'll know and be able to provide us with info.

I'm thinking that it would be best to have her (or someone willing to speak for her of course ;) ) email these people (via meganewing.net would be best, I think!) and ask if they would be willing to please donate some of their wonderful work to Megan's official site to help spruce up her online portfolio as she prepares to go back to modeling. Some of the extremely famous photographers (like Mario Sorrenti or Bruce Weber) who worked with Megan a looooong time ago might disregard her or not even remember her... but I have faith that others she worked with-- especially those who worked with her multiple times, like Raphael Mazzucco!-- will help her.

Megan mainly wanted to get involved with the site so she could give it a personal touch, to reach out to the people who have showed interest in her. I don't think it's too much of a promotional thing for her at this point.

I will see about putting the photographers on the website ^_^

I write out of self-interest. I want to see more pics of her, past and future, and I'd love it if Me.net could bring her more to the public eye.
