He sent her a long message saying he noticed and didn’t like it. She blamed it on a gay friend of hers and apologized but from what I’ve heard, Harry stopped talking to her over it.

The Kanye and Tom occurrences are especially sad because what I’ve heard from others is that when she was confronted, by the anonymous person and by Joan respectively, she didn’t deny any of the wrongdoing but basically tried to excuse it/justify it. With Joan I’ve heard she reported to say she didn’t know Tom and her were serious. But not sure how that flies when your friend was confiding in you and dated this man for 8 months.

All of this is from people that know her very well. None of what I attest to as personally having witnessed.

I don’t think they dated for 2 years. This started around the mid 2024. No one knows why they ended but she was not into him.

In regards to making this relationship legitimate-- I think only Candice has this concern, not so much Tom from what I've heard. Joan didn't speak about it for months so perhaps Candice had no reason to think Joan ever would. It's widely discussed within their circles that Tom has been hooking up with several women while hooking up with Candice. He had no desire to make this public and is still not thrilled about it. The stories her PR team has been planting in the media make it seem like Candice is desperate to make it look like she's being taken seriously by Tom but that she herself is not taking this relationship so seriously (like another user speculated, it would seem this would be to soften the blow for when this inevitably ends).

A small part of me thinks Joan should say her pierce. If your best friend of 15 years helps craft texts for you to send to a f**kboy and is helping you navigate a relationship, encouraging you to break up with this man, etc., and after knowing how invested you were, goes on to start dating him, that is so incredibly foul and says a lot about a person's character. I understand why she's hurt and feels betrayed. But a larger part of me thinks continuing to talk about this would invite people to think that she's still hung up on Tom and that's... embarrassing.

I think Joan has already cost her career a little with how she's behaved so may as well let it all out. I guess she's trying to let this drag out for a while before she tells more. It gives her attention too.

If this has been going on for months, I wonder what triggered Joan to go nuclear. Was it seeing Candice at the VS show acting normal? Was it Candice finally unfollowing her? She could have done this at any point, but waited.

Honestly, I think that Candice should hope that Joan doesn't go on a podcast or say her piece because I don't think Candice would ever be able to respond or communicate effectively in a long format interview. I've never seen her speak beyond those short VS interviews where she answers what her favorite VS make up product is. Has she done a long interview before?

Also want to point out, look how few photos have been out of Candice and Tom. When celebrities want to keep things private or not be photographed, they’ll often find a way. My understanding is that there are plenty of private islands in the Bahamas.

I’m not suggesting that the two were best friends. I think it may even be the case that Gisele doesn’t care about what’s happening in Tom’s life or that she’s dating him. But I don’t see a reason for multiple people that know her to say they vacationed together if they didn’t.

To be fair, Hermann didn't seem that great. From what I've read, he was a serial cheater. I'm sure there are other things as well that happened that lead to their breakup.

Tom and Gisele did own a home in Baker's Bay (where Candice vacationed with her family in August while Tom was in France). It's very private.

She never talks about her personal life outside of little things about her kids and being a mother. She's never done a long interview. Even when she did the VS podcast with Lily A., she didn't talk too much. I don't think she's ever going to address this stuff. I don't think Joan will let it go though.

I'm surprised there are no photos of them together. Allegedly the paparazzi are following them around yet we've gotten nothing.

If you look into it, Shaffer didn’t go on any trips with the whole group. During last year’s vacation to Europe in June and July—which included Candice, Bravin, Joan, Gita, Dawn, and others—Shaffer wasn’t present at any point; this is quite different from 2024, when he seemed to be like a shadow, always hanging around.

You know what, that's actually kind of a good point, I don't think he was at Joan's birthday trip to Ibiza, I thought that was weird, just thought he had work or something, thought maybe it was a girl trip type thing, but Helly Nahmad was ALSO there, hmmmmm, idk what to think anymore, you got me thinking on this one

While I’ve joined in on the discussion and find all this gossip about Candice entertaining, I can understand why some of you might be getting a little tired of it, so I’m not sure if you’d like to consider creating a private message group here on the forum for those interested in the gossip, so as not to bother those who don’t want to read it. As far as I understand, it’s possible to create private message groups with multiple users (or at least it used to be). I’d be interested in joining. I don’t feel comfortable thinking I might be bothering others.

Although, by the way, it’s not as if Candice’s career has been particularly dynamic and full of content in recent years. Beyond her work with VS (which is usually limited to the show and, at most, a specific campaign), Tropic of C when they release a collection and the occasional paid promo for Alo, there isn’t really much else going on. Ali could do a much better job as her agent.
