Yesterday at 02:04 PM1 day Author The Iranians are targeting US radars & Missile systems in US bases.I read the White House statement yesterday. This is starting to look like Trump's/US "special military operation" in Iran. Trump regime is copying Putin. After the large scale air and naval campaign fails there will be an escalating ladder when necessary. Maybe over time US divisions will be deployed to occupy a beachhead in Iran, to secure the strait of hormuz .Iran is actually impossible to fully occupy due to its vast size, 90 million person population and mountainous terrain- and besides- if the Iranian military doesn't collapse due to "regime change" the Iranians will be stronger than the Americans on the ground. It appears that the US is mainly going to use proxies- militias and terrorist groups to combat the Iranian guard. If they fail, which is more likely than not US ground forces have to take over. The Trump regime want regime change and to "demilitarize" Iran, (entirely destroy Iran's missile forces, navy, and military industrial complex). The problem is that this is probably impossible without a large scale ground offensive into the mountains of Iran, which compose much of its topography, which requires special forces and mountain divisions. This is basically Iraq + Afghanistan + Ukraine on steroids, and if the US commits to this war fully, it will cost trillions of dollars and countless lives on both sides. Without regime change and continued brave resistance, which is likely for the Shia Muslims, it will lead to ultimate catastrophic defeat for the United States and the 4th major military defeat in recent history. Thus, it will cause great harm to the financial and political health of both nations. Basically the US has to retreat from Iran or we're screwed.Today, an Iranian frigate was sunk by a US sub attack. Overall, in the short term the Iranian Navy will get trashed, but in return US bases encircling Iran will suffer heavy losses as well. I doubt that the US has the capability to fully destroy the Iranian MIC and its missile/drone forces, much of which is hidden underground or covered in the mountains. Maybe after trashing the place, Trump will 'TACO' this, lie to his base and declare some kind of victory and run away from Iran.

1 hour ago1 hr Author The braindead, thug-like killing of the Ayatollah by Trump has so far not triggered any effective uprising of anti-government elements in Iran. The US is already using the tired and ultimately ineffective playback from Iraq/Afghanistan to bribe proxies and friendly pro-West terrorists with US dollars to fight for them, under the supervision of US special forces. This is quite obvious with the Kurds, as US-Israeli strikes target police/military objects in order to de-stabilize and dismantle local policing in northern Iran. The killing of the Ayatollah and the possible assassination (attempt or successful) of the ex-president, including the brutal attacks on military and civilians that have so far killed a claimed 926 Iranian soldiers and civilians have likely turned improved the image of Ayatollah even among its enemies in Iran. Certainly Shia Muslims who support the regime have demonstrated in the thousands in support of the Supreme Leader and the fanatical elements of Shia Islam will likely, as proven elsewhere, be determined to fight to the death against America and Israel. It was probably better to keep the 86 year old Ayatollah alive. It is interesting that unlike Trump, who is afraid of death and seeks immortality with material gain, the Ayatollah lived in a simple house in plain sight and didn't even bother hiding inside a bunker. It was super easy for the US to kill him and his family- he wasn't even in hiding. It is evident that the Ayatollah was not only unafraid of death, but welcomed it as he likely knew what will happen if he was killed and turned into a martyr to galvanize the Shia Muslims.
