Put simply, she’s a bombshell and meets all of the requirements that go along with such a title and then some: long, sun kissed blonde hair, a full pout, and voluptuous curves in all the right places. She’s only just signed her first contract with New York Models, but she’s already finished her a job for Maybelline at New York Fashion Week and has her sights set on a pair of VS wings. Meet Meredith and don’t forget we told you so when you her 14-foot high on the side of your local billboard: How were you discovered? “I was initially scouted when I was 13, but I still needed to grow into my look a bit so I didn’t sign with any model agencies. A year later I was scouted again and decided to see what kind of work I could get. I started with a few small things in Atlanta and then earlier this year I came to New York and signed with New York Models. I’ve also recently signed with two agencies in Los Angeles and Milan.” Did you always want to be a model? “I’ve been absolutely obsessed with becoming a model my entire life! When I was little, I used to look through magazines and photograph myself recreating the poses from editorials and adverts. I also wrote a note about how I was going to be a model and kept it by my bed. I know it sounds cheesy, but it really was my dream.” Is there a particular model you look up to? “I’ve always really loved Candice Swanepoel because she’s a bombshell and we have similar coloring.” What is your favorite modeling career moment so far? “I have a couple of really exciting things coming out soon which I’m not allowed to talk about yet, but right now I’m working with Maybelline which is a huge deal for me. I’m not an official ambassador, but they’ve booked me as the face for all of their behind the scenes makeup looks during New York Fashion Week.” What kind of model do you see yourself as? “I really want to be the girl who mixes it up and does it all. It’s obviously easy to see me as a sexy swimsuit blonde, but I hope that people will also see that I can be a serious editorial model. I think there’s a lot more opportunity and crossover in the model industry than there used to be, so I feel like now is the perfect time for me to start my career.” What’s your approach to health and exercise? “I’ve always been pretty active, but since signing I’ve definitely amped up my workout routine. I love hot yoga and I’ve just started boxing. I don’t really have the patience to cook, but I’ve always made an lot of effort to eat healthily. I just feel so much happier when I’m nourishing my body with the right things. I also don’t tend to wear makeup so that my skin can breathe. My only beauty trick is curling my eyelashes everyday.” What do you like to do outside of modeling? “At the moment I have no personal time whatsoever, but when I get the chance I love to catch up with friends and have movie marathons.” Where do you see yourself in ten years? “I keep a list on my phone of all of my goals, so I hope by the time I’m 26 I’ll be able to have checked all of them off. I don’t want to jinx too many of them, but I will say that it’s my dream to land some big name covers and to be a part of Victoria’s Secret.” What’s next for you? “I feel like my whole career is about to take off. I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen, but I can feel it escalating and I’m excited to see where it takes me.” source: crfashionbook
