October 26, 201410 yr Author Today’s results are in! In Group 46, Carre Otis looked like one of those haves, but she was exposed by Angela Lindvall, as Angela wiped her out. Juliana Martins now looks like the true contender for first place, but there’s still a lot that can happen in this group, so nobody is out of it. In Group 47, Sara Sampaio and Selita Ebanks both remained unbeaten in this year’s tournament, and they appear to be on a collision course towards first place. Finally, there’s the start of our 4th round robin cycle in Group 2, and we had ourselves a great match between #2 ranked Kathy Ireland and hot rookie Samantha Hoopes. Both entered the match unbeaten, and Kathy just barely survived. The victory puts Kathy in first place, but she does have one match remaining against a tough opponent in Valeria Mazza. Samantha’s four Group Stage matches are over, and she’s made a great case for a wild card spot in the Knockout Stage. But, she now plays the waiting game to see what happens elsewhere. October 26, 201410 yr What are your thoughts? Post and share them! What if there was another option like "can't decide"? Also what if both pictures (if there is always going to be one of each for comparison) were from the same type of source (eg. both a picture from the magazine or both from a video clip but not a mix of both since in that case the PQ is likely to be quite different between the two). Also what if the pictures were what most represents the source (eg. if from a video clip, a shot that shows what they were normally like in the clip).

Also what if the pictures were what most represents the source (eg. if from a video clip, a shot that shows what they were normally like in the clip). Good ideas... thanks for the feedback. It's very tough and time-consuming for me to do this, so matching exact picture qualities is tough. I'd have to do this for my full-time job. I do try to, though... I actually try to match a similar pose for each model, when possible... but also select the most appealing photo for each. In short, the one that gives the model the best chance at winning. I also do not reuse photos unless there are no more choices. Some of the older models, for instance, have one or two photos, and that's it. Then, there's Monique Moura de Carvalho, who doesn't even have one that fully shows her face! I'm not sure what the "can't decide" option would give us, other than to drive home the point that it's a tough decision. But, the point is to vote for the winner, so the "can't decide" votes would just be thrown out anyway. I think making that tough decision is a lot of the fun. Choosing Heidi Klum over Kay Hughes is easy... but choosing between Heidi Klum and Brooklyn Decker is awfully tough!

Yes it would let you know how many couldn't decide eg. didn't vote because they couldn't decide between the 2. eg. 80% can't decide and a small percentage vote for the winner. But without knowing what % couldn't decide it might look like it was a landslide/easy win for whoever won, but with the "couldn't decide" percentage it will help show you how close (or not) the vote was. but also select the most appealing photo for each. In short, the one that gives the model the best chance at winning. But picking the frame from a clip that isn't representative of the model or the video clip might not give them the best chance of winning, it might give them less chance.

In Group 3, Marisa Miller and Stephanie Seymour will battle. In Group 4, it’ll be Cheryl Teigs and May Andersen, and in Group 5 it will be Yamila Diaz-Rahi vs. Melissa Haro. Group 6Daniela Pestova (76.5%) defeated Beri Smither (23.5%)Marloes Horst (88.9%) defeated Karen Alexander (11.1%) Group 7Jeisa Chiminazzo (62.5%) defeated Irina Shayk (37.5%)Lucia Dvorska (87.5%) defeated Amber Noelle Ehresmann (12.5%) Group 8Brooklyn Decker (91.7%) defeated Erin Gray (8.3%)Fernanda Tavares (52.4%) defeated Shana Zadrick (47.6%) My spin:The upset of the day was in Group 7, where Irina Shayk became the highest seeded model to lose so far in the tournament, as she fell to the very impressive Jeisa Chiminazzo. Lucia Dvorska is now in the lead in the group, and she’ll put it away with one more victory. But, that victory will have to come at the hands of Irina herself. If Lucia wins, then she finishes in first place. If she loses, then either Irina or Lucia will finish in first place, depending on the final vote count. Jeisa finishes the Group Stage at 3-1, but she cannot claim first place in the group. No matter what happens in the Irina vs. Lucia match, Jeisa will finish either behind or tied but losing the tiebreaker (total vote percentage). In Group 8, Brooklyn Decker and Fernanda Tavares both improved to 3-0, so it will come down to the final match between those two to decide first place in the group. Finally, Group 6 is looking like it’s Daniela Pestova’s to lose. Daniela just needs to beat underdog Karen Alexander in her final match, and first place in Group 6 is hers. What are your thoughts? Post and share them! The latest group tables/standings can be found here. Thanks for voting!
October 29, 201410 yr Author yes...Irina losing is very surprising I agree. The fact that Jeisa won was surprising enough, but the margin of victory is quite shocking. That's why this tournament is so interesting, though. You never know what results may come.

In Group 10, Anne V was pushed to the limit by previously unbeaten Ehrinn Cummings, but Anne prevailed to move into first place in the group with one match left to play. In Group 11, Christie Brinkley was pushed even harder by the similarly unbeaten Yesica Toscanini. Christie won by a nose and moves into first place, but Yesica’s 3-1 finish in the Group Stage will certainly make her a strong contender for one of the wild card spots. Finally, we had our 4th draw of the tournament, as Lujan Fernandez and Veronica Blume could not be separated. Veronica is still winless in the tournament, but she’s been close to a win every match. She deserves to have more than her one point in the tables. What are your thoughts? Post and share them! The latest group tables/standings can be found here. Thanks for voting!

Melissa Keller was tied with Kate for first place, but she lost a close match to Jarah Mariano, so both Jarah and Melissa sit at 2-1 on the tournament. As of now, Kate has nearly wrapped up first place in the group. There is no way for Jarah to catch her because of the tiebreaker, and the only way Melissa can do so is to beat Kate by at least an 81%-29% margin in their next matchup. That seems incredibly unlikely… Kate may be beaten from time to time, but almost never by that margin. In Group 13, Paulina Porizkova continued to thrash her competition, as she won her third straight match in which she received over 90% of the vote. Yasmeen Ghauri also won to stay even with Paulina at 3-0, so it will come down to their match the final round robin cycle. Group 14 has a couple of standout performers in Bar Refaeli and Izabel Goulart. October 31, 201410 yr Author Today’s results are in! Let’s start at the top, in Group 15, where Heidi Klum narrowly defeated rookie Lauren Mellor to move into a tie for first place. A victory over Kylie Bax in her next match seals up first place for Heidi. If Lauren does end up short in her quest for first place, she has at least put up a great showing during the tournament, and she’s in contention to advance as a wild card. In Group 16, Petra Nemcova took care of South African hottie (and personal favorite of mine) Dominique Piek, and one match remains for Petra to lock up first place. That match won’t be easy, though, as Petra will face the also unbeaten Molly Sims, who easily beat up on Kay Hughes. Finally, in Group 17, Rebecca Romijn entered play behind French stunner Aurelie Claudel, but she withstood Aurelie’s challenge and moved into control of the division. Rebecca can wrap up first place with a win in her final Group Stage match against Jenny Brunt. Jenny has won 2 of her 3 matches, but I don’t think she’ll be able to withstand the barrage of Rebecca votes. What are your thoughts? Post and share them!
