May 23, 201313 yr Crowned Miss Universe Australia in June 2010. Two months later Jesinta competed in the international Miss Universe competition in Las Vegas taking out the Miss Congeniality title and finishing in the top 5 with a fantastic result of 2nd runner up. Jesinta is a vivacious, enthusiastic 21-year old known for her down-to-earth charm, generosity and friendly personality. She is the quintessential Aussie beach girl, having grown up on the Gold Coast and spending her childhood being sporty and enjoying the outdoors. During her schooling years Jesinta was heavily involved within the community, participating in charity events and volunteer work. She won a youth achievement award in 2008 for organising her own charity event “Walk for Water”, raising funds for water stricken communities in Queensland. Jesinta was School Captain and finished her senior year taking out the General Excellence Cup (all round outstanding student), senior drama award and a scholarship for Journalism at Bond University. After winning the runway section in a modeling competition in her final year of school, Jesinta left the relaxed atmosphere of the Gold Coast behind to take the big leap into modeling at 17 years of age in Sydney. Months later she was modeling in Shanghai on a two month contract. Returning to Australia she continued to model throughout 2009. Jesinta felt her passion for charity work, public speaking and working with people were the perfect combination for her to enter Miss Universe Australia 2010. Winning was a dream and she felt proud and honored to be an Ambassador for her country at the international competition. Jesinta’s public profile has continued to sky rocket with her signing some very lucrative ambassador deals. ASICS Woman’s Apparel, Crown Casino and Jeep and The Sydney Racing Carnival have enjoyed very successful partnerships with Jesinta. Later in September 2011 Jesinta was handpicked to fly to India, along with top Australian designer Wayne Cooper to represent a major fashion event in New Delhi held by UB Spirits. The show was a huge success gaining international coverage in the fashion press for the pair. Jesinta had literally been back in Australia for less than 12 hours before she started filming the first episode of Channel Nine’s, Celebrity Apprentice. Jesinta’s chosen charity for smash hit show was REACH where she raised over $160,000 making her the celebrity contestant to have raised the most funds, something she’s very proud of. Jesinta also supports many other charities including Alannah and Madeline Foundation and Jeans for Genes. The sky is the limit for Jesinta and is passionate in creating an amazing future for herself.
