We are all used to the count the number of Vogue covers that have defined model but I (and hope so do you ) always was curious about Vogue muses – Vogue US, Vogue UK, Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia favorite models. Finally I have the answer for this question and now we'll know the winners.

Maybe some day I (or someone else) will do complete research from 1890’s, but for the time being I've chosen the period of 90’s to the present - my favourite time

I counted only first five places for each Vogue edition, and, of course, I will post them from the 5th place to the winner.

So, let's get started…

Vogue US

On the fifth place with 8 covers - Kate Moss

On the fourth place with 9 covers - Karen Mulder

On the third place with 10 covers - Linda Evangelista

On the second place with 11 covers we have two girls - Cindy Crawford and Gisele Bundchen

And first place with 15 covers goes to the German and American beautys - Claudia Schiffer and Amber Valletta

Vogue UK

On the fifth place with 11 covers - Amber Valletta

On the fourth place with 13 covers - Gisele Bundchen

On the third place with 14 covers - Linda Evangelista

On the second place with 15 covers - Christy Turlington

And, beyond any doubt, first place with 32 covers goes to Kate Moss

Vogue Paris

On the fifth place with 5 covers - Natalia Vodianova

On the fourth place with 6 covers - Daria Werbowy and Gisele Bundchen

On the third place with 7 covers also two girls - Lara Stone and Natasha Poly

On the second place with 11 covers - Carolyn Murphy

First place with 15 covers goes to Kate Moss

Vogue Italia

On the fifth place with 6 covers are three models – Christy Turlingon, Elise Crombez and Naomi Campbell

On the fourth place with 7 covers - Missy Rayder

On the third place with 9 covers - Amber Valletta and Kristen McMenamy

On the second place with 12 covers - Karen Elson

And first place with 19 covers goes to Linda Evangelista

I didn't count UK Vogue December 2006 and US Vogue January 1993 covers to any of models, cause these aren't really covers, these are collages, at least, that's what I think...

Interesting lists. They are more realistic than the usual "I'm gonna promote my favorite model via this thread" lists that spring up every now and then.

I'm not so sure about the tallies though. For example, Kristen had a VI cover in 1997.

VI march 1997 cover I counted only for Amber Valletta and Naomi Campbell. Kristen and Karen aren't really on the cover, they next to cover

Also, June 2006 cover allowed for Iselin Siterio, January 2002 for Carmen Kass and Anne Catherine Lacroix etc.

I can't believe how few top 5 lists Naomi is in. especially for UK.

No wonder it was called the Supermodel Era though. the newer era models don't stand a chance beating the Supers records.

I thought about other issues, but they haven't such history as American, British, French and Italian magazines. Russian version started in 1998, Chinese in 2005 and Japanese in 1999, so basically other editions exist only for a decade... but if I will do the continuation VJ would be the first
