His work is generally average to above average entertainment and he does a good job with set pieces.Alien and Blade Runner are stand-out science fiction pieces. Gladiator is one of the best sword & scandals. Kingdom of Heaven has a lot of beautiful footage.Black Hawk Down is a favorite of the United States military, as it depicts urban combat operations more accurately than any other film.
