February 27, 201312 yr This is a great piece of work by Ms. Hardin, but the ideas behind this editorial -- Painting a white model black and titling the editorial "African Queen" -- just don't feel right. I don't understand why Numéro can't use an African American model or any model of African origin or descent. March 5, 201312 yr ^ You're right, and I don't understand why Numéro went ahead and published this blatantly offensive editorial. Salvatore Ferragamo F/W 2013 | Milan (Opened & closed)
March 6, 201312 yr I really don't understand how this Numero ed is offencive... So many noise from nothing, in my opinion
March 24, 201312 yr I think it's about using blackface in an editorial featuring a white model and entitling it 'African Queen'— mockery and racism on Numéro's part IMO. This isn't the first time Numéro have done something like this before (the editorial with Constance in an afro). I, for one, find it offensive. i-D Spring 2013
