Colin Farrell spiega in un’intervista al settimanale “Io donna”, in edicola sabato 10 novembre, i motivi che lo rendevano dipendente da certe sostanze. “Non sono un esperto di genetica – prosegue l’attore irlandese - e non so dire se esista una predisposizione innata per certi tratti del carattere. So però che l’ambiente in cui cresci è determinante, ti fa sentire uno stereotipo. Mi sto però allontanando da quello vecchio per crearne uno diverso, più in pace con me stesso”. Terminate le riprese del film “Miami Vice” nel 2005 Colin Farrell ha volontariamente seguito un percorso di riabilitazione per disintossicarsi da alcol e droghe e adesso afferma convinto: “Provo gioia e piacere in questa nuova lucidità, quando gioco con i miei figli, lontano dall’ossessione del bere o di provare droghe – conclude la star, ora nei cinema con 'Sette Psicopatici' -. Ammettere che mi piaceva il rituale della droga è terribile. Ora però posso riviverlo con la cerimonia del tè, veramente piacevole. E mi succede lo stesso con lo yoga”.
