I find it interesting that she is listed as "Maria del Carmen von Hartz." While I am certainly no expert, I had never seen her go by anything other than "Maria von Hartz." Anyone have any info on the subject?

I remembered a caption somewhere that mentioned what a long name it was, so I poked around. In the 1989 issue, her one photo has this caption:

 

"Maria del Carmen von Hartz has a name worth remembering and a suit by Hot Coles."

 

Only other time I've seen the whole thing.

Swimsuitologist, thanks for sharing. I wonder if it was her choice or someone else's to shorten it.
