Ewciolina Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Model Miranda Kerr switches from chic Management to new Sydney agency IMG Models and signs publicist Annie Kelly :morning:A rep for Kerr's former agency Chic Management yesterday confirmed the stunning move, which has been the talk of fashion circles since news emerged earlier this year that IMG - which reps Kerr in New York - was opening a Sydney office. The official confirmation to Confidential yesterday follows the controversial defection of Kerr's long-time rep Danielle Ragenard, who will head up IMG's Sydney operation after 15 years at Chic. "It was a natural fit that Miranda would follow Danielle to IMG," a source close to the mega-model said. "Danielle has looked after her for many, many years and from all accounts Miranda has Chic's blessing. " A spokeswoman for Ursula Hufnagl's beauty stable confirmed this, saying Kerr was leaving the agency with nothing but "good wishes". The move marks a significant shift for Australia's highest-profile model, who has also inked a deal with former David Jones public relations maven Annie Kelly after parting ways with Carlii Lyon, who acted as Kerr's main Australian PR contact for six years. Kelly, former PR boss at David Jones for eight years, confirmed the new partnership yesterday, which follows her firm The Agency Inc (which she opened in March) taking control of Kerr's beauty line Kora Organics earlier this year. It's understood Kelly established a strong relationship with Kerr via the model's ongoing contract with the retail giant. "I'm thrilled to be working with Miranda who I have a strong history with and an enormous amount of respect for," Kelly said yesterday.
