i know! in the box..there was so much effing room..and thats when ghana really pushed forward..and hell france has its history with brazil already..i cant wait for that match..where the hell is ronaldinho..i mean hes declared the best in the world..

he's been missing for a while, and i didn't really notice him in the Ghana match save for a tricky pass he made to Kaka near the Ghana box. It was a great pass though

on paper, Espana had about the best team, I thought, but of course they never go far, and they never beat France (now 1-1-8)

France looked pretty fast for a team that has been dragged down by ZiZou's wheelchair speed in recent years... too bad they didn't play trezouget though

I thought Zizou had a pretty good game today (by recent standards of course)

Some intelligent passes and controlling the play.

I only got that impression in the first 20 minutes though... I didn't see him after that until he scored the third goal.

Anyway, that's should still be considered a good game

for sure. he's not a bad player, just much slower than he used to be. the French papers have been barraging him for years about slowing down the national team, and players like Henry have as well.

of course, we saw how you can be too fast, as Henry set a record for offsides runs. I still think Zizou has the head and feet of one of the world's elite, he's just a little slower. that's when being a crafty veteran is as good as being a quick young flash

poll on ESPN about who will win the quarters

makes me wonder how many of the world's great goalies are left with Casillas and Cech et al now out

An intelligent player can compensate for other aspects of their game  but Ribery impressed and his burst of speed and footwork probably helped France where Zizou could not.

Henry was probably offside a lot because of the lack of communication with his team mates (I'm speculating) but if Spain slipped up he might've got a goal. It reminded me of Crespo against Liverpool last season. He spent the whole game getting offside calls against him, but the one call that he got in his favour resulted in a goal for Chelsea. Henry has that quality to finish a team off :o

Be afraid. Be very afraid :knives:

Buffon and Abbondanzieri (Y)

Best D: Italy no doubt

Best A: Argies

Who will win: Brasil (I'm in denial, leave me alone)

 I wanted Espana to win...

Now the French are going to cause more problems for Brasil with their pace :(

and yes it was a good match and funnily enough, the refs were put in a good performance too... except Puyol's yellow...

I wanted Spain to win too

A referee finally called a good match :o

The worst thing is the French have a solid set of players but they have Domenech as coach. Its feel wrong that he's taking part in the quarters while other better teams and managers will only be watching

Domenech has no idea what he is doing. Why isn't Trezequet starting

But France are still in the quarters :anger:

Ribery is ugly  but he is skilled

I missed the Brazil game today, how did Kaka' play?

When you're that ugly it's not a laughing matter *donates to the "Get Franck A New Face" Foundation*

still better than the rest, but not good enough. Kept the ball a bit too much and got stripped by the Ghana-ese (Ghanians? :idk:) one too many times.

Brasil played a shocker but did the business where it mattered.

Buffon has been the best goalie so far in the tournament

but joking aside, what happened to him?

I don't want history to repeat itself

boooo! whyyy...oh yeah i forget brazils one of your teams you want up there..ehh the french are rising

Brasil aren't defensibe capable and if the French play like they did tonight :o

Fred and Robinho should be starting <_<

Ronaldo maybe, but Adriano is not performing.

Robinho should definately start ahead of Adriano, he has not looked good since the first Serie A game of the season <_<

Sanz says he'll bring Adriano to Madrid

Did Ronaldinho do anything?

but joking aside, what happened to him?

his parents :|

or did you mean in the game? He had an awesome game and showed why he should be considered the next Zidane (even though he plays on the wings)

Definitely.

I changed my mind as well. Keep Ronaldo.

Then it'll be *drums*

Brasil vs France II: Ronaldo's Revenge

*cue Eye of the Tiger*

:lullaby:

Did Ronaldinho do anything?

He got upstaged by Kaka'

but that's nothing new :ninja:

*worships siggy*
