Since Luxemburgo, they've played with a 4-4-1-1 formation with 2 central midfielders.

Against Malaga, they played with a different formation:

Casillas

Salgado--Pavon--Helguera--R. Carlos

Robinho--Guti--Sergio Ramos--Zidane

Baptista

Ronaldo

I speculate that this was the formation, but I'm not not too sure.

Guti dropped back deep on the right to defend, and I didn't even notice Baptista, but Robinho stayed on the right but didn't come back to defend much.

He's a Wing Forward by nature in my opinion.

He's got the speed and control to be a winger, he's just not that gifted when it comes to crossing. He's not exactly a striker as he can't outmuscle anyone for position (although I haven't seen him much in the air)

He plays in the final 3rd moving into the box when necessary, otherwise he hangs around the edges waiting to pounce.
