FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Hailed as one of the top ten shows of 2006 by Time magazine and Entertainment Weekly, the critically acclaimed drama "Friday Night Lights" also received 2006 honors from the American Film Institute (AFI) for Television Program of the Year and the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award.

Expanding on the hit feature film and best selling book "Friday Night Lights," this poignant series centers on the small rural town of Dillon, Texas, where the coveted state football championship rings are held in the highest regard. The Dillon Panther's faced many challenges their first season with Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler, "Grey's Anatomy") at the helm, but after much hard work, determination and a victory at the State Championship Game, the team's fate at the start of yet another new season and the Taylor family's future with them, continues to remain uncertain.

The talented cast also includes: Scott Porter ("Music & Lyrics by…") as the Panther's injured former star quarterback, Jason Street; Gaius Charles ("The Book of Daniel") as feared running back Brian "Smash" Williams; Taylor Kitsch ("The Covenant") as reckless and self-destructive full back Tim Riggins; Connie Britton ("The Brothers McMullen," "24") as Taylor's supportive wife and high school guidance counselor, Tami; Zach Gilford ("The Last Winter") as Matt Saracen, the new team captain and star quarterback, and Minka Kelly ("What I Like About You") as Lyla Garrity, Panther cheerleader and Street's on again off-again girlfriend.

Also starring are: Aimee Teegarden ("Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide") as Coach Taylor's daughter, Julie; Adrianne Palicki ("South Beach") as Tyra Collette, and Jesse Plemons ("Grey's Anatomy") as Landry Clarke.

The series is executive-produced by Peter Berg (the film "Friday Night Lights," "The Rundown"), who also wrote and directed the pilot, Jason Katims ("Roswell"), Brian Grazer ("The Da Vinci Code," "Cinderella Man," "A Beautiful Mind"), David Nevins ("Arrested Development"), Sarah Aubrey ("Bad Santa," "The Kingdom") and Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's "Surface"). "Friday Night Lights" is a production of Imagine Entertainment, Universal Media Studio and Film 44.

IMO, one of the best tv shows on tv right now! I love it.

I didn't like s1 I watched it only because of that (not so) damn strike as I really needed a show to watch.

And then came S2 and I can tell I love this show so much!I've just watched S3 first 2 eps and well couples suprised me:

-Tyra and Landry not together anymore and we don't even know why (I loved them so much in S2 :( )

-Lyla and Tim "back" together and we don't even know how ( Gosh I hate that girl! )

and it's nice to see Jules & Matt being closed again.

Well glad to see everybody's back, now I can't wait for some real storylines!

I think Matt will have a lot to deal with (meaning his grandma to take care of + that new guy eveybody want to be QB1)

but the authors have been particularly gentle with Smash 2eps and he already has his knee back and a trial! This storyline could have been longer.
