Biography:

Born in Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil, it was clear early on that the brown-eyed brunette Fernanda Tavares would become a certified beauty. By the age of 9, she was doing smaller jobs in her hometown. Then, at 13, Fernanda won a Look of the Year contest and was invited by agents to go to Sao Paulo to pursue modelling the following year.

Fernanda has been featured in numerous editorials and on the covers of magazines such as AMERICAN, BRAZILIAN and ITALIAN MARIE CLAIRE, AMERICAN, BRAZILIAN, ENGLISH and FRENCH ELLE, AMERICAN, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN and RUSSIAN VOGUE, L'OFFICIEL, CITIZEN K, AMERICAN HARPER'S BAZAAR and ALLURE.

Another press campaign that elevated Fernanda's popularity was VICTORIA'S SECRET in 2000. She was one of the models at the 2000 fashion show in Cannes and in the company's Swimsuit Edition catalogue.

Fernanda was one of the top models chosen by photographer Mario Testino for the 2001 PIRELLI calendar.

Fernanda was also photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth for the fragrance GUERLAIN SHALIMAR and by Steven Meisel for DOLCE & GABBANA PERFUME and UNDERWEAR.

In 2002, signed a multi-year contract with cosmetic giant L'OREAL.
