EPS for Goode, Saxons for Cipriani

67152981mx9.jpg

Andy Goode has been added to the Elite Player Squad as England prepare for their opening Six Nations match against Italy - with Dan Cipriani moved into the Saxons squad for their match against Ireland A.

Brive fly-half Goode falls outside of the RFU/PRL agreement and can be called into the Senior or Saxons Elite Player squads during a Test week.

Meanwhile, James Simpson-Daniel (Gloucester) and Tom Mercey (Saracens) have also been called in as precautionary injury cover for Ugo Monye (Harlequins) and Tim Payne (Wasps) respectively. Monye has a sore back and Payne has sore abdominal muscles.

However, for the Wasps number ten and Leicester scrum-half Harry Ellis, they are among eight capped players in the 24-man training squad for Friday's match at Donnybrook, Dublin.
