CarMELita
Jareth is my greatest Love....he is about even with Lestat See we like the same movies/literature I'm so sad that none of Anne's books has been produced in the same quality like "Interview" - how I would love to see "The vampire Lestat" "Queen of the damned" was so disappointing :yuckky: But back to Jareth - Labyrinth is one of my all time favorite movies! Had to buy the book as well - and the soundtrack of course!!!

penny-dreaddfull
ohpelia, i agree 100000000% about rice books into movies.. though i must admit while stuart townsend was a dead ringer for the literary armand... he really captured lestats essence. not to say i still wouldnt blow a major gasket if they made another flick *sneer* and imagine this.... i look to the bottom of this page and it has a cool bowie ebay pic YAY!! mmm he looks so pretty here
Ophelia_Immortal
...I don't think Stuart Townsend fit Aramd or anyone! The only emotion Stuart could play was cockyness and while Lestat is cocky he has SO much to him! I hate stuart with a passion for trying to play something beyond his comprehension. Back to David I have that posted on my wall!!! Sexy man!
penny-dreaddfull
dont hold back baby girl.. tell me EXACTLY how you feel... not talking acting skills or grasp of the character or any of that... but what i actually meant was physical appearance.. had they slapped a red curly wig on stuart he'd have looked like armand... the way i imagined him anyways. just wanted to clarify what i meant but indeed... back to david i LOVED his thin white duke phase ^^^^ such a smooth suave motherfucker who am i fooling i love ALL of his phases
penny-dreaddfull
ive had these lyrics in my head all day so i thought iod share the warm yummy goodness that is david heroes~~ I I wish you could swim Like the dolphins Like dolphins can swim Though nothing Will keep us together We can beat them For ever and ever Oh we can be Heroes Just for one day I I will be king And you You will be queen Though nothing Will drive them away We can be Heroes Just for one day We can be us Just for one day I I can remember Standing By the wall And the guards Shout above our heads And we kissed As though nothing could fall And the shame Was on the other side Oh we can beat them For ever and ever Then we can be Heroes Just for one day We can be Heroes We can be Heroes We can be Heroes Just for one day We can be Heroes We're nothing And nothing will help us Maybe we're lying Then you better not stay But we could be safer Just for one day

CarMELita
... but you either adore him or hate him, no middle ground pppfffttt Exactly. It took me awhile to get to the adoration-stage. I didn't like his 80ies stuff like "China Girl" and the "Tin Machine"-stuff at first. I did also dislike his appearance at that time. Well, I was just a kid, I was fond of Nena's "99-red-balloons", what shall I say?! Then I saw him in "Labyrinth" - of course I got a major crush on Jareth!! At the same time I saw a movie "Christiane F." - don't know if this was an international release? The book was a bestseller here in Germany as well as the movie. It's about "the fall" of a Teen Age girl because of drug abuse and prostitution. In the movie Christiane went to a David Bowie concert, he played "Heroes" - I loved it. It's one of my all-time favorite songs ever since. That was when I took the first step to the adoration stage, that was when I learned about the time before "China Girl". I started to love him with "Jump they say". I even started to grow fond of "China Girl" and about kiril.... jesuschristomfuckinggod that first pic on the pageis scary, crazy armand like*going to change panties* lololololol Actually I've just found out I've never really had a picture of Armand in mind. I was like "WTF Tom Cruise??" - although I really love Tom, mind you! But in blonde? Impersonating Armand? <_< Well, he's a good actor so he really played well. But he wasn't looking like the Armand of the books at all. And Stuart Townsend? No, no, no. The movie was bad anyway. Kiril IS indeed - what did you call him, Drea? - jesuschristomfuckinggod :-) But as Armand? :-/ When I think of it, I probably would take Jonathan Rhys Meyers and change his hair color. He's looking like an Angel but got this "arrogant bastard" appearance
Ophelia_Immortal
for Lestat I would stick with Tom (dont shoot me and let me explain) Tom played Lestat to such perfection that I melted. Sure he didn't look the part but he WAS Lestat...in all his arrogance and his foolish moves....you could see in those grey eyes the love he held for Louis...the devestation of what had happened. Tom is my Lestat(movie wise) and I will have no other ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ as for David....here is soemthing I found that make me squeal, scream and go all gooey and girly What Should Have Happened:
