Nefertiti Posted January 29, 2010 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Rob Marshall wants Penelope for the next movie of Pirates with Johnny Depp.Penélope Cruz suena con fuerza para la próxima Piratas del CaribeConfirmado recientemente Rob Marshall, según sus propias palabras, como responsable de la dirección de la próxima Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, desde la versión digital del diario británico The Daily Telegraph aseguran que la "sustituta" de Keira Knightley como principal protagonista femenina de la citada cuarta entrega podría ser Penélope Cruz, con la que Disney ya habría contactado aunque aun no haya nada oficial que confirme este hecho.Al parecer, precisamente el principal valedor de Cruz sería el propio Marshall, quienes recientemente han trabajado juntos en el esperado musical Nine .En el mismo artículo se dice que Johnny Depp ya habría llegado a un acuerdo con Disney para repetir su papel de Jack Sparrow, despejando así las dudas surgidas a raíz del despido de el hoy ex-Presidente de Walt Disney Studios, y por el cual cobraría cerca de 23,5 millones de euros, cifra que podría aumentar en función del éxito del film (y que le convierten en uno de los actores mejor pagados del momento).Este acuerdo sería factible ya que al no repetir sus papeles en esta entrega ni Keira Knightley ni Orlando Bloom, Disney no tiene por qué hacer ningún otro fuerte desenvolso en los nombres de su reparto ya que la cinta se concentraría casi exclusivamente en el personaje de Sparrow, el cual sumando los sueldos de toda la saga le habría reportado a su intérprete más de 50 millones de euros.A Depp y Cruz, de confirmarse su incorporación, les podría acompañar Geoffrey Rush, que volvería a interpretar nuevamente al Capitán Barbossa como ya hiciese en los títulos precedentes. Sobre su argumento, una fuente del propio estudio ha confirmado que en la cinta tendrán cabida algunos flashbacks sobre la vida de un joven Jack Sparrow. Broken Embraces has a valedictory feel to it, or at least it conveys a sense that the 60-year-old Almodóvar—a man for whom it was once compulsory to use the words enfant terrible—is taking stock of his life. The movie is about a filmmaker, cruelly robbed of sight, who recounts to a young man the tragic story of his greatest love: a stunning beauty he rescued from the gilded clutches of kept-womanhood. There are stylistic nods to the 1950s weepie-meister Douglas Sirk and to Michael Powell’s sick-joke movie Peeping Tom. There are glimpses of the movie that the director made with his doomed love, a Day-Glo bauble that harkens back to Almodóvar’s youthful 1980s “wacky” period. And there is Cruz. Almodóvar uses his fractured narrative to frame her in all manner of looks and ways: in a Marilyn wig, in drab secretarial gear, in the Chuck Close–like pixelation of enlarged, super-slo-mo playback … all in the cause of proving that the camera loves her as much as ol’ Pedro does.
