"Soya" Honey, you're calling me an insult generally directed toward men with progressive values. I'm not even a man. And what I'm telling you is to stay civil and to mind your business. You cannot tell to someone to not post something because according to your logic they shouldn’t.

If they shouldn’t mods would ban them or something like that.

I know that many guys are pervs here but it’s a part of this forum’s "culture" now.

I can assure you that posting comments in a post section is like flooding. You like the celebrity, cool. You don't ? Then don’t speak since there are many celebs you would probably dislike here since it's a gallery.

Bullying stars for their looks is so absurd by the way. We all have our tastes and if we had to "speak truth" everytime like kids by spitting our every thoughts in our minds... Society would be less civil and communication wouldn’t allow self expression and understandment.

You don’t even contribuate with images. You're not a star, your personal comments are not interesting. To each their own.

You’re wrong; if someone profits from public visibility, they have to be prepared for criticism.
The real question is why criticism regarding appearance is directed only at women. They are performers just like their male colleagues and do exactly the same things. Why do people consider men worthy of their money and status, yet harass women for their success?
As a K-pop fan, I see this phenomenon where women are hounded for a single careless word or a "wrong" style choice, while male idols have fans ready to defend them even if they are r@pists.

So, if this woman were a man, no one would comment on her appearance. Because a man can look however he wants.
Besides, this woman is a typical representative of her ethnic group, cental Americans. There are so many people with a face like that, but nobody cares about appearance unless it’s a woman’s appearance. Especilly when it comes to ethnic women.

I know that people should be prepared for criticism, but criticism should make sense and come from a rational and helpful place. Some people give their "opinions" and sometimes it just sounds like intrusive thoughts being loudly expressed.

On Bellazon there are so much different types of icons being posted that putting a label on them just to shame an user sounds wrong to me.

I mean to each their owns. We all have our tastes and it’s fine. But if I find someone ugly, I won’t say it in a first place because I think it's inappropriate and subjective. And I also like the way there are very diverse faces on this forum. Saying I don’t like one type of beauty means is discouraging ppl from posting. So it’s somehow utilitarist and moral. Faces can be unattractive but have interesting meanings and interpretations. Even more if you know the persona of the person. But it’s my opinion, I know most people don’t care about morphopsychology or artsy interpretations/expressions.

But I really agree with you on the part about women. The insult toward the "average" woman of an ethnic group is very biased and insulting toward a whole phenotype. When you look at some particularities of ethnicities, you know that some features are very common but absolutely hated by the modern gaze.

For exemple, as someone with Oriental/Mediteranean roots, I have a roman nose with a bump. For some it automatically means that it’s a flaw because it’s because of bad breathing... Unironically, this feature express sexual maturity and it is adapted to hot climates. So it has nothing to do with bad breathing and it’s very common among Middle-Easterners and Mediteraneans. It can be very harmonious with the whole architecture of a face (OfSunFrau). Traditional model type :

It can be striking and attractive even if it’s not fully harmonious. Like a strong nose with a small chin (Lana Albeik, she's a model too). It create something distinctive.

Most of people's face have some small disharmonies, it doesn’t make them ugly.

And a very unusual nose can generate very mixed opinions on if it’s attractive or not. It can be seen as a flaw but the rest of face is appreciated (sexy-ugly type). Generally it’s very artsy, because strikingness is artsy. (Rossy de Palma) Her whole face is eccentric.

The idea is that there are different archetypes of beauties. But once it’s very ethnic, it’s reduced to "ugly".

But even unchangeable features such as an oval narrow face or body morph... Should not be hierarchized with an intention to be objective. That’s some features that belongs to particular groups of people.

Having our own standards is normal. Imposing it, is not organic.

her blonde ’s sister has the same promoting wide cheekbones and facial structure. Her head is just a bit rounder and short, but the resemblance is still there. So I agree this goes beyond criticism and becomes mockery of people based on their race.

The saddest part is that in Central America, too, there are many people who do not look white but consider themselves white and discriminate against other non-white ethnic groups.

And as an half-Asian girl, my mom is Thai, I’ve often had to deal with stupid jokes about my Asian eyes in latin countries, with the exception of Brazil. I was also insulted for having a narrow build.

And it's beleive many of those poeples hate themselfes. They were once made to believe they were an inferior race, and they still believe it to this day. That’s not true; there are no bad races, only bad people.

And as I wrote earlier, criticism is one thing (though for some reason it always targets women, especially those unlucky enough not to be born white, like Zenaya, Lissa other k-pop girls etc. I don't understand why a woman's appearance, specifically, becomes a target for mockery. After all, they are doing exactly the same thing as their male colleagues. ), but mocking an entire ethnic group is something else entirely.

Nowadays, I just ignore idiots. I know what their reply will be: "soygirl" "stupid liberal," "cry," etc. Those people's are not rally original. I don't even want to get into a discussion with them.

I like my long, slender asian body and NingNing's face.

I don't give a damn what some weird racists guy writes.

Have a good day, and don't waste your nerves on idiots.❣️

I feel you girl, people act like they have standards but they're manufactured at best. Having standards, means exploring diverses medias and imageries... And also meeting various people.

Haters online oftenly try to tell us to look at reality. But reality as it is given is so fractured and do not give one answer. They're far from being artists or thinkers. And they're too mean to get the attention of interesting and diverse people. Their diplomatic skills are low, how unlucky they are.

They notice a difference and instead analyzing a whole structure and see beauty of nature and it’s diversity... They call it ugly, because they're scared to rely on intuition and to curiosity.

Have a great day too 🤍
