BUT there is one cool thing I wanted to share with you:

 

Roosmarijn de Kok is now represented by the German agency MODEL MANAGEMENT!

 

It has the most generic name of all time tho haha but it seems like a cool agency, they have some top models such as Bar Refaeli  and Giselle Bündchen 

Roos's first cover editorial is out! 

 

For a German magazine called Faces Magazin.

Here are the images (including two covers) that feature Roos.

Yay! Some images from the Wildfox shoot are finally there   . Featuring a smiling Roos which I haven't seen that much in shoots   

The press presentation was yesterday in Little Italy in New York. The first image is from the instagram of someone from Wildfox, the second, third and fourth are from a folder from the press presentation and the last one was from a blog. I expect the lookbook to be uploaded this week on their website. 

 

 

 

She is credited here as Roos De Kok BTW, probably because a lot of people already called her Roos haha. Personally I hope photographers etc. will use her full name, because it's waaay more unique

(also in Dutch it should be "Roos de Kok" not "Roos De Kok", De is only capitalised when the first name isn't mentioned, e.g. Miss De Kok, but I don't really expect anyone to get that right since Dutch grammar has so many stupid rules which nobody cares about haha)

The second one is a week old or something and was posted by the makeup artist, stating that he missed this face (probably trying to hint at her return as well), and was regrammed by multiple accounts.

(the clothes are soo expensive btw, the dark Chanel dress is EUR 3250 (or you can rent it for EUR 250) and the light Valentino Haute Couture dress, which is the most expensive dress on the website, is for rent at EUR 700  :shock: (it's not for sale))

What I noticed was that these pics seem to be unretouched (or only very lightly) and not color corrected (at least not in the same way as the ones posted above and on page 10), maybe because they wanted more realistic colors to show the dresses or something  

 

 

I think the images from the third dress will be uploaded to cestmarobe.com later this week cause these weren't uploaded at the same time either. Probaby they wanted to release new stuff on multiple days of the Paris Fashion Week 

Roosmarijn did the Giuseppe Zanotti Design Fashion Week Press Presentation today! (don't really know what Design Press Presentation means haha but it sounds nice  )

Some insta updates  ! 

The first one is an étude from photographer Junko Kawabata (@junkokawabata), the second one is from the old Hannah Khymych shoot (@hannahkhymych). The third one is from Chris Heads (@chrisheads, Roosmarijn also commented on this post: "Where are the wings?? " to which he responded "@roosmarijndekok patience .... Still under jacket"... curious what that inside joke means haha). The fourth and fifth image are from the Oui Management polas (@oui_management).

 

 

I saw some new images posted by Ultramarine, a friend of Federico Guendel on The Fashion Spot's Roosmarijn thread (which nobody ever posts haha, go Bellazon ). (S)he said there were more (I think at least 24 in total because that's the name of the last image, roosmarijn_24): "There are more in his dropbox, but Im lazy".

I wanted to request the others but I don't have a TFS account so I can't, so sad

I guess some of them will be released anyway during the PFW because they were shooted for that (waiting impatiently haha). We also will have to wait for the Wildfox shoot since that was for the Fall collection sadly

I don't know if this is the full shoot since the C'est Ma Robe clothes aren't that visible in these images as compared to the behind the scenes (posted some posts up). It's a lovely shoot though

Edit: according to the photographer's instagram this was a test shoot but he seemed positive, so maybe more photos will follow ?

 

Yeah, I think the same. Even on bellazon, there were comments about her "old" surname in other threads, and they weren't the nicest ones . And I agree, her name is quite unpronounceable for some people, but not for people of Latin origin for instance. We certainly don't have a problem with pronounciation of foreign names in Romania. We have the name Rozmarin here, not the most common name but we have it.

Yeah I saw some comments some time ago in the VSFS thread haha

I think a lot of European languages have a name a bit similar to Roosmarijn (Romarin in French and German, Rosemary in English, Rosmariini in Finnish). I think the hardest part of her name is the IJ, since only Dutch and Norwegian (and maybe some other Scandinavian countries) have the exact  [ɛi] sound. Also some people think the name looks manly because it ends in a consonant (kinda weird since for instance Meghan also does but I've heard people saying it about similar names before).  I don't think she or her agencies really care about pronunciation and stuff tho

That's true! Quite a lot of people have that name. I looked it up, around 25 000 people in the Netherlands are named (de) Kok. 

I think they just though "well it sounds like cock let's change it" but then changed it back when they realised Lamijn sounds worse haha, and I'm happy she is Roosmarijn de Kok again!

These always kinda weird me out   From an old shoot by Michael Donovan. These were possibly published in one of his books but not entirely sure 

 

Hm, they have that show package even on models.com.

Agencies give models other names sometimes, it happens. So that could be it. If that's the case, then it's pretty strange if you ask me, cause I prefer de Kok. I don't think Lamijn is better at all.

 

Me Neither! Lamijn sounds very weird haha. I think it might have been changed because Kok sounds like Cock though   ... But you would think that if they wanted to change her name, they'd have changed here first name as well - "Roosmarijn" is quite unpronounceable for non-dutchies and sounds manly/strange/weird to some, just like Doutzen (Kroes). Roosmarijn's quite a normal name for Dutch people though, only most of the time it is spelled Rozemarijn (pronounced a bit differently as well).

It's apparently from the Show Package - London S/S 2015: Storm (women).

It's wierd because she is called Roosmarijn Lamijn here . Lamijn isn't part of her name AFAIK and it certainly isn't here last name as suggested here. It's also not a word in Dutch either. Maybe she took it as a "model name" for a very short period?
