Hey hello fellow Malaysian! I'm beyond excited & happy now for your existence. I love how you mentioned Amber Chia as a reference. It's funny because I 100% agree with you about her being absolutely non-model material. Pretty lady, but typical. I giggled while reading it ^ Now I'm so curious, how tall are you?? WOW. Being a psychology major and having taken Social Psychology and understanding societal perception of beauty myself, I have no ill feelings when books tend to write Asians in a very stereotypical/discriminative ways. My only point was that to prove Sui is generally the ideal beauty among a number of Asians, and not imply that s*****y eyes or small eyes are derogatory, as I myself have small eyes. So I apologize if you feel offended but hopefully I made it clear that I did not mean to begin some sort insult here. @salfaridz I'm about 5'10'', which is 1.8m? I have a picture of me and Amber Chia lying around, and I would like to post it but I am afraid I'll be sued for defamation LOL. But yeah, Amber is only 5'9'' or 1.75m/1.76m. And again, I'm not trying to put her down by saying Amber isn't a supermodel. The very fact that she is a supermodel is only because she's got status, connections, money and the fact she is the best fit for the modeling industry in Malaysia SO FAR. But that was a long time ago, she's still considered Malaysia's supermodel, but there were other promising girls. Considering she's got kids and she's aged a bit, she's been a bit behind since then but she delivers the best model traits amongst all model in Malaysia.

It's true that I find Sui exotic, because you don't really see Sui's features in most Asians. Even without makeups, she looks pretty different from your standard Asian (High nose bridge, defined jaw lines, double eyelids, dimples is more or less personal opinion, big eyes as opposed to squinty eyes, being tall of course). When I first saw her, I legit thought she was some American-Native American-French chick. Like how I mistook Cindy Bruna for an American model kind of thing. Of course.. because Sui is from China, I'm pretty sure you can find lots of exotic looking chicks there if you travel around China long enough. In one Chinese interview, Sui herself mentioned she got lucky to be able to be at the spot that she currently is, because China has such a high population, you're bound to find some unique ones and she's not the only one with good looks. I come from Malaysia, and am a Malaysian Chinese. And I haven't seen a Chinese with facial features like Sui's thus far. Girls can be pretty here but they really just lack the exotic look that Sui has. So if you compare the girls here with girls like Sui He, Sui's looks really stands out as being exotic. Considering you are Asian yourself you really don't want to encourage or condone such language If you visit regions near Shanghai there are A LOT of woman possessing the "non-standard" qualities you mentioned. Even in other parts of Mainland China, HK, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, and etc. there are a significant amount of Asian woman who has those features...naturally. The term "exotic" is subjective so let's agree to disagree (Y) On a different note at least someone considers me good-looking Well.. it depends imho. I wouldn't say it is derogatory, but the way I see it, beauty and fashion is trending towards the Western ideals (great body, great face). It just kinda puts other traits as not so attractive. And yes, I am aware of women possessing "non-standard" qualities, but I think if you asked any Asians as well, most of them prefer big eyes. It is true that Lily's walk improved. But I think it's far from desirable. Comparing all the years together, I think she did pretty well for PINK, where she added personality to it. But came her transition to being an Angel, I kinda felt that she was so rigid with her walk . I'm not sure if she's got problem with her legs or coordination (no kidding), but I notice she tends to sway her head to one side while walking and I'm not sure if that's what causing her walk to look so bad. I notice she's got nice shots for a model, but her runway doesn't really appeal to me. But Dream Girl's walk has got to be her best walk, she tried very hard to achieve the sexy walk. I think she just needs to practice moving her upper body in more a fluid manner and stop swaying her hands too much.. Which reminds me.. to those who read my post about my Asian aunts felt that Adriana looked like a transgender, they said the same for Lily A.

^I think Adriana is fine, she's forgiven for behaving that way. Because honestly, I have not seen a model like Adriana whose gaze is so deep and beautiful. No matter what she does, she still leaves an impression in you. It's her eyes that makes her so attractive, that gaze. Unless.. you're talking about someone like Cara then the answer is no. Cara's walk last year, on so many levels, VS should just ditch her. I never liked Cara, her British Invasion walk was fine, but then came Parisian Night and I was like "gtfo Cara". And speaking of Angel camera time, I always thought VS started prioritizing Behati the moment she got engaged to Adam. This year, Candice's camera time is so little compared to the rest of the angels. Doutzen and Lindsay's just literally no time at all.

That is weird.... Are they also familiar with Iza? Oh my god that was funny I told you all to forget about #BodyByIza, with them abs, it's time for #BangkokByIza to be trendy. My aunts are in their 60s and I don't know if this applies to all Asian cultures, but a conservative Chinese idea of being pretty or beautiful is basically just a girl next door with sweet smile and polite manners. If you showed them VSFS, their first thought that comes in to mind is some girls are over the top, they will appreciate that the models have nice features, but they will throw in shit like how so and so is too skinny and what not. They can't even appreciate sassiness or being sexy (in a behavioral manner). So they first came to know Adriana when I showed them VSFS2011, and I recalled Adriana being so darn tanned that year and her hair was pinned up and her make ups were kinda heavy, so she never stood out to me. And I was just casually showing my relatives the show and my aunt was like.. "Those Bangkok ahgua (Chinese languange, literal translation of Transgender/Cross dressers) look like that (referring to Adriana)." About Iza.. I can't remember but they may have felt the same way, cause they mistook Iza for Adriana at one point. I think my nephew who was at the age of 9 last year, asked why Iza likes to flip her hair in Parisian Night, cause he said it reminded him of Sunsilk's Commercial. And during the VSFS 2011 show as well, Miranda Kerr was wearing the FB, they jokingly mentioned that Malaysia (that's where I come from)'s prime minister's wife would probably buy the FB and wear (just saying how Malaysia is so corrupted that the PM could afford anything, including the FB). They did like Sui and Liu from VSFS2011 though. And then there's my mom, I showed her Sui He, and she said Sui wasn't beautiful *facepalms* Can't show them VS. At least one of my aunts understands my love for Sui. I still fondly recall last year when I was watching Sui's Snow Angel moment, I was fanboying. My aunt was like "Ohhhhh, now I can rest in piece. At least you're not gay!" I am gay, but she doesn't have to know anyway. But yeah, show my family VSFS, they'll probably throw in some weird comment because they have no experience watching Fashion Shows. I'd imagine if they watched Houte Couture based fashions, it's gonna get even weirder. Back to Adriana, my love Adriana kinda grew over time. I don't think she's my favorite runway model, but I like that she's kinda funny and hilarious. Totally changed my perception of her being a diva when I first saw her. I like her Valentine's commercial for VS, so hilarious <3. Add-on: They didn't like Todd Thomas from VSFS 2011 because they find him overly feminine. Btw, anyone knows why Toni wasn't back for this year? Was she not hired? Or she had no time. I realize whenever there's Toni in a segment, there's Sui too..

@BehatiPrincess, my condolences. Going on to Adriana. Yesss, you made a point. Although for me, I think Adriana should hang up her mantle because she's been modeling for VS for a long time and I think as she ages, more new, younger talents are coming in and it's time for her to step out so that other new ones can step in to continue her legacy. I do like how Adriana acts a bit like a child on the stage though, when I first saw her, I was so scared of her cause she had too strong of a fierce look. My conservative asian aunties thought she was a trans >_>.
