I get what it's referring to, I just don't get why it's being called tea...

The whole tea metaphor is a bit lost on me anyway... anyone care to explain?

Does anyone else find it really annoying when newspapers/magazines refer to someone who has modelled for VS as a Victoria's Secret Angel, when they aren't or weren't Angels? Case in point... Daily Mail, Joan Smalls. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3199287/Victoria-s-Secret-angel-Joan-Smalls-hits-bullies-teased-body.html I know it's a silly thing but it pisses me off!

I can imagine Elsa and Lais having 3 year contracts, given that they've both been working for the company since 2010. I still can't get my head around Jojo not getting one of the new angel contracts. As far as her work for VS goes I'd have put her at least ahead of Jac, Romee, Stella and maybe Taylor until recently, and miles ahead of Kate! I just don't get it!

My guess is that Stella has British citizenship (at least, I think she does) so they don't have to go through the hassle of getting her a visa to come here like they would with one of the others. Just one less hoop to jump through. I am fo sho going to the London event and I will make it my personal mission to get a photo of her smiling.

But would Nicki's video merit a nomination? Really? It's just a bunch of girls shaking their asses, from start to finish. And the fact that Beyoncé- a black woman with tits and ass- is also nominated makes Nicki's 'oh, I wasn't really talking about skinny women I was talking about racism' BS moot anyway.

Beyonce can't possibly be as bad as Taylor was last year especially since Bee doesn't have any Angel BFFs. Less cringeworthy moments for sure. If they can't get Bey, then get Rihanna. She was perfect. She did her thing and wasn't distracting. Bey wouldn't do it deliberately like Taylor did, but she wouldn't have to, she's just naturally got more presence. Rihanna did get it just right, she interacted with the models but didn't try and steal the spotlight too much. Although the song choice for the floral segment was a bit mismatched. What about Selena? Her song Good For You could work for one of the slower segments, and there's no chance of her overshadowing the girls!

Beyoncé might be a bit too much for it though. She's all about owning the stage and commanding everyone's attention and VS still want to the focus to be on the models.

Then why didn't she say that in the first place? Her comment was about very slim women, not white women, or white people. She just changed her tack when Taylor called her up on it to make Taylor look bad. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Taylor's number one fan or anything, but I think she was absolutely spot on and Nicki's just back peddling now and playing the race card to get people's support.

I did prefer Nicki's VS performance to Taylor's. Except when she ruined Erin's runway moment. I might never forgive her for that.

In fairness, Taylor has a point with what she said. Beyoncé doesn't have a 'very slim body' and I doubt very much Nicki was referring to Ed, Kendrick or Mark/Bruno's videos, so she must have been talking about Taylor. And let's face it, Anaconda (both song and video) are absolutely bloody awful.

Is closing even that big a deal anymore though? They chop and change the segments so much, it's not as symbolic as it used to be.
