Yes I see Shanina in #332, but in some photos, with some of her angles and expressions, I see Lily. She is so gorgeous it's just not fair, but can you imagine how she'll be as she gets older and more womanly. :wub2:

So tragic for that poor bus driver and his family. And horrible for Shanina and Tyson to be linked to the nephew's stupidity So it looks like Shanina has switched to IMG. Someone (I think a close relative) mentioned it on tFs last week, and she's thanked IMG for birthday flowers. She's not on the IMG boards yet.

She's amazing! Definitely the most exciting Angel prospect VS has had for a while.

So pretty in the Christmas photo. Shanina is gorgeous and womanly and brands like Next and Madeleine swimwear 'get' it. But it is surprising with the amount of time she spend at the gym in the lead-up to VSFS that her body didn't look more toned. I read somewhere that it was only after her first VS appearance in 2011, that she felt other models worked on their bodies so much harder than she did so she started to take it more seriously with proper training in a gym. I thought her body looked perfect in 2011 as it was.

I liked the energy for Pink. And the girls were such pros walking down the runway in their ridiculous outfits holding those balloons. I thought Jasmine in particular was gorgeous. Poor thing to have been demoted handled it well.

Kelly was absolutely gorgeous on the runway, a stand-out in a strong segment though I wish her walk was edited better i.e. I didn't need to see Cara interrupting Kelly's walk. And as I just mentioned on the VSFS thread, in the pre-show segment, Monica mentioned how they made an extra outfit especially for Kelly as they HAD to have her in the show. Wow, to be a must-have for the show, on her first casting, at age 18.

Oh super-awkward! It's funny to watch now, having seen the actual VSFS show, but imagine waiting for the show to air on tv and having to sit through this. Monica is a terrible host - she just doesn't seem at ease and almost seems abrasive and so everyone makes uncomfortable all round. The game show section with Adriana making them raise their hands (ear level!) and all repeatedly hitting the buzzers was bizarre, but they were good sports about it (I thought Kelly hid a WTF look well!). Sara does look like Adriana's teenage sister. Interesting to hear how they specially made an extra outfit for Kelly just to have her in the show. She's really made an impression, but for good reason.

I've just watched the show and enjoyed it. For 40 minutes of entertainment, I was pleasantly entertained. Overall the outfits were quite lovely, and definitely an improvement on last year, and Pink wasn't as bad as I imagined, although Jac's OMG was even more horrible in motion. Dullest section was Shipwrecked. Too many of the same looking girls, with similar boring poses (sway sway while holding the floaty bits of fabric) Wish Bregje had made the show as she'd have probably walked in that section. Erin bugged with her smirk. Watching her, immediately followed by Lindsay in BOP, it was like way to be passive-aggressive on a runway. Grrrr, c'mon, just fake it, or pretend to try. I posted earlier about not understanding the appeal of Barbara F, but after watching, she does have runway presence, and her body is amazing. Her face isn't necessarily something I'd want to look at all day, but yeah, I'm starting to get it And I was one who was most surprised that Shanina wasn't casted, but honestly, I didn't really miss her. And as for those inevitable comparisons with Kelly (I'm guilty of that), I thought Kelly was beautiful and so striking, though didn't like the editing there with too much Cara. I too, would like to see Kelly in future shows.

They didn't, girl. I was watching for that shit too. Oh my gosh! But was it obvious, or only if you were looking…

You know, I saw Pink and the first two parts and I think it's fine. If you've seen all the costumes, then you'd know what to expect I watch it on mute as to enjoy it more, so... Yes having seen all the photos, it's like you see the 'perfect' show in your mind. Pink aside, loved this year's outfits and themes. Music I'm not fussed about, so it's more like how they've edited it and I'm hoping it's not as choppy as last year (where you barely got to see uninterrupted shots of the models walking the runway).

I think Kelly participated in the pre-show segment. Does anyone know how she went? (I've read on VSFS thread that the segment was terrible). And more importantly, how did she go on the runway?! Lol I was just on twitter and I think some people are mistaking her for Shanina. Poor Kelly and Shanina!

This is torture reading these comments but not being able to see the show! But it sounds like I'll have to lower my expectations so as not to be disappointed in the editing and music. But to think it's worse than last year does not bode well... Happy for Elsa and Lais, but Barbara F? I don't get her appeal.

Yes, this is what is truly puzzling me. It seems like she worked out SO much this year, I expected her to be as fit as Hilary Rhoda haha. She definitely looked skinnier last year. Maybe she didn't get her diet right? It truly is ridiculous what these models go through. It's safe to say that almost every single model casted looked skinnier this year than ever before (Adriana, Lily, Hilary, Behati, Maryna, Izabel, Jac Jab, Toni, Elsa were the most obvious to me). Only Erin and Lindsay actually looked bigger this year. I thought Lindsay looked radiant this year Re Shanina, who knows, maybe it was also unfortunate timing of her menstrual cycle to make her look bloated on casting day?

Love the new Marie Claire ed, moreso than the other swim editorial she did for them a few months ago. She's got a killer smile (along with body, legs, cheekbones…)
