To add onto that, i think they've been pushing him since 2014 bc the girls wore Balmain to the VSFS after party and the lip sync video. But yes he's been getting even more attention since last year's show

I don't think Sophia is getting replaced anytime soon. If the Balmain collection turns out to be AHHMAAAAZIIING (i just had to write it like Sophia would say it) I'd have no problem with Olivier replacing her. At the same time, i don't think he'd leave Balmain or split his time considerably to do VS too, considering all the recent Balmain projects (L'Oreal, Beats by Dre, Balmain Hair). I know Jeremy Scott does his own brand and moschino but the VSFS is a year long project. I think Olivier can handle it but the deal has to be sweet enough for him to go between Paris and NYC

The only thing I like about VS' way of giving the FB is the unpredictability of who's going to get it. It builds up anticipation! If the FB was given out solely on seniority or the most recent Angel to have a baby (this second reason being used a handful of times), it would be predictable.

+1 i dont like Kendall and Taylor but I can deal with Kendall since she's only on the runway for a minute and then she's gone. With Taylor, she's on stage for half of the show basically.

Yes to this! As long as we have new performers AND runway appropriate songs (not slow ballads like Say Something from 2013's show), I'm happy. The only performers I want to see a second time at the VSFS are Rihanna, Hozier, and Ariana Grande. No Taylor Swift!!! I was happy that The Weeknd and Bruno Mars performed a second time since I like their music and they weren't interfering with the models.

Same. I love the design! the robes are usually sold in stores or online before the show tapes. So they'll probably be available for sale mid November. However the robes and all of the VSFS merch sells out fast. i bought the 2015 robe at the semi annual sale after Christmas 2015 and the sales associate was so shocked it was in the store bc the merch sells out fast.

I want Little Mix to perform! I went to Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour back in March; they were the opening act and in my opinion, they're great live performers. However, I don't want to get my hopes up if Gigi shows up ?

The VS fan base outside of Bellazon is so childish with their posts about VS going "downhill" (debatable). VS has made some decisions in recent years that grind my gears but I'm not going to destroy the comment section of Ed's IG. It's just too much for all of these fan accounts to spam the social media accounts of those involved with the show (again, RIP to Ed's IG since he always gets the drama filled comments). instead of being crybabies about the show, these IG accounts need to chill the F out. I'm sure there's other fan accounts on other social media accounts like Twitter but this is really an issue with the IG accounts. these accounts should be grateful that VS is even sharing info with the public in regards to the show. Many of the shows during fashion week are very secretive until show day. I already want the VSFS to happen so this rabid fan hate ends. The stuff that makes it to the Victoria's Saltiest thread is gold but all these fan accounts acting like they're the ones who should be planning the show (and not Ed/Monica/Sophia/John) are too much.

Adding on to @PastaFreak's timeline, October should be reserved for the FB and performers reveals. I think September is too early for VS to reveal everything, considering they haven't officially revealed the location, taping and airing dates.

Can you explain what this deal is?what would make doing the show in China different (or a deal breaker it seems) than in past locations?

It was originally assumed that there was going to be a smaller line up because of the number of visas. The Chinese gov't is pretty strict when handing them out. VS says it's their biggest show ever, every year. Hopefully they're true to their word

Thanks everyone for working hard on sharing these updates! @ticktock I think they shoot the FB before the holiday commercial. In 2013, the pictures were taken towards the end of July. Last year's FB shoot took place in a different location than the holiday shoot. The FB shoot was in a house (I'm thinking of the Vogue video Jasmine did) and the commercial was done in the France estate. -
Has the show been taped earlier than November in recent years?

They really don't appreciate my man Hamish. He speaks the gospel truth and they don't listen. The last time the show looked distinctly different was in 2009. While 2012 and 2013 had larger runways, they were basically the same thing we've seen for so many years.

I agree! In the past few years, their PR tours for the show suck. They don't take advantage of the location, especially when it's overseas. In London, they only did the Bond Street store photo op. They could have gone to places like Trafalgar Square, the scenic area along the River Thames. Last year they only did a photo shoot near the Eiffel Tower and inside the Grand Palais. The bridge at Pont Alexandre III is stunning and they could have gone to the locations where they filmed the 2013 holiday commercial. VS is all talk when they say they're doing the show abroad but all you get are a few clips in the show's opening credits about landmarks in the city. They never deliver. If they plan on doing the show abroad, they need to be there for more days. A press event, rehearsals, and the actual show taping days aren't enough. I think they left Paris the morning after the show.
