I just noticed that Jasmine said on here insta that they saw less than 40 girls this year. So I guess shouldn't expect any/many more castings to be posted, other than maybe the girl that went with Jamea.

I think I'd be really happy if Mahina made it in the issue. Hard to believe they're still casting in September. I assume it's the uncertainty over the ownership of SI, or the tightness of Meredith, that has this issue so far behind prior years.

Saw on instagram a couple weeks ago that Darcie was scouting locations in Puerto Rico but hadn't read til now in this year's issue that Puerto Rico was definitely a location for 2019.

Whether the swimsuit issue can survive will be more about whether all of Sports Illustrated can survive. The end of Time Inc. isn't a good thing for SI. Meredith probably has no interest in running a sports magazine. I think I read recently that the magazine will now only be issued every other week. I'm hopeful the magazine doesn't disappear because it's always been a quality publication. I'd guess the swimsuit part can stay alive in some fashion because it presumably still makes some money.

Robyn was down there for the original model shoot, at least that's when her flamingo pic was posted.

I'm thinking it's probably more the athlete shoot. And I'm thinking there's a decent chance it'll be a couple athletes we've seen before, and maybe someone who had a pretty major end of summer.

Pretty sure there was a second shoot in Aruba. For whatever reason I think that might have been athlete shoot? Although Bo took a six day break from instagram immediately after posting an SI pic. And Hannah F basically disappeared from instagram for all of November. Anything's possible but it just doesn't make sense they're both out this year.
