I think playing with less stars makes less egos and more teamwork for England. How have France been going lately? I haven't been following for a while but given their form towards the end of 2010, I'm not sure they'd be a big threat. As for Portugal, they can't be in that group. They have to meet England in the quarters

I wanted to say it before the English media did! Does Capello play any other way? It's hard to criticise him for those tactics though. It's not like Spain actually lets teams close enough to the ball to get it and retain it. As I was reading somewhere, Spain style is not to eviscerate, but to slowly asphyxiate a team. Little did they know, the English are already quite immune as they have many brain-dead players at their disposal. I kid, I kid

No. OK then. In that case, Sunderland vs Villa. Discuss. Trying to think of something funny related to Terry, Walcott, slipping and goals. Hmmm...

I'll watch the highlights later but I heard the defending on both sides was poor. What's with all these crazy scoring games this season? Edit: Just watched the highlights. Points I thought were noteworthy: Did Walcott try to con the ref halfway thru the lead up to his goal? Can't say I saw any contact. Terry slips again. LOL. Juan's goal did not Mata.

Despite how much I hate that rat-faced bastard (no, not Benayoun), I gotta admit Gary Neville's piece about England was worth reading. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ry-Neville.html

Barca v Milan - Classy goals. The beauty of football right there. Madrid must be laughing at the moment. Sunderland - that Gyan deal stumped me too and caught me out Dortmund - Inter - lol.

I thought Juve weren't ig enough for Elia Liverpool have offloaded so much deadwood Cole, Ngog and Poulsen gone! Meireles to Chelsea unfortunately and Bellamy back in? Arsenal have Benayoun, Mertesacker and Arteta. Potters got Crouch...wonder what role he'll play there <_< Quite a busy deadline day.
