Don't get me wrong, if they play a 4-3-2-1 because it's better for their players, that's fine by me. I was just ranting randomly because I don't like the formation in general, regardless of the players. I believe in using width, whereas the typical Xmas Tree template provides a somewhat defensive approach, and attacking through the centre. I assume if you were a manager you'd probably play a formation to your team's strengths?

Now that Rooney can play, Walcott doesn't have much use. He doesn't have the experience, just raw talent. He'd get marked out of a game with his physique and apparently, although he has plenty of pace, he's not really suited to playing along the flanks. If they're not going to play him in their last game, then I don't think they'll play him at all, unless conservative Sven has to change his tactics, but I doubt that'll happen, unless its for something more defensive. In Guus we trust. No Guus, No Glory. I think Guus has done a fantastic job! We are a little physical sometimes, but we have enough skills to mix it with the big boys. If not, we can always break their legs We're a good unit. We're organised and determined to do well. Unfortunately, we lack players with class and finesse. If anyone, it'd be Kewell and Bresciano that had those attributes. Against Brasil, we put in a good performance but were unlucky not to get anything from the game. I think we deserve to be in the last 16, more than anyone else in our group. Hopefully we can overcome the Croatians :lullaby:
