I'm not sure about the exact details but if its true I'm very disappointed And we've agreed to buy Voronin in the summer. I thought Rafa said, and I quote, "we are only looking to sign world-class players" I'm not football expert here but I believe something is not right.

They also have a history of releasing managers that do win trophies You can't win at Real :trout:

 you could always bet on the Barca-Liverpool match. If you want to bet, try Inter. They're just going and going and going and going Every league has been more interesting this year :|

Apparently his contract is quite expensive so releasing him might not be a good option

He even outjumped a defender to head one home I think An earthquake (5.0 on the Richter scale) was reported after he landed

Screw Ronaldo. It's all about Kaka Aren't you guys going for Ronnie as well? Ever given Robinho a though? What's the transfer policy in Milan nowadays? Collect the Brasilian national team?

I'd rather be 5th on GD and closer to Barca than 3rd and a million miles away Bayern are struggling too but you better find your shooting boots and quickly! You're travelling to Munich for the first leg right? Best to get that away goal. But Europe is another kettle of fish and I think both teams will be out with something to prove. Hitzfeld vs Capello it should be a battle to savour it appeals to the purist in me

If your predictions go to plan it can still be a good week - as long as Barca and Sevilla lose :magic: Can't help you in the trophies dept. though I prefer La Liga as well (Y)

I was banking on the annual blip but it hasn't come yet which has me kind of worried We'll see how things go when the Champions League starts

It's not that they aren't investing; Madrid has a fine academy, but they just choose not to use it. Instead they sell Makelele for Beckham (who is 10x the player I hear ), release Hierro for ummm... no one really They destroyed one of Europe's finest defensive partnerships and the wall protecting them. They play Guti in a central midfield role for god's sake. He's versatile but anyone that has half a brain can tell you he doesn't belong there... if I had a nickel for every mistake the club has made At least now they are reverting back to building a solid team and they still have many young players coming out and loaned out (why they don't use Soldado I'll never know ). I feel Ramos, Higuain, Gago and Marcelo will0 all prove to be good investments in the future

And who decided to double the number of defensive midfielders AND buy both players?
  15. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
sounds like normal football club talk how un-Madridista of you I don't believe the Arsenal-Manyoo rivalry has been forgotten already
  16. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
rest assured that it is Real Madrid. Where other clubs have cycles that could span up to 100 years without any success, Madrid has a freakish way of shortening their cycle to single digits

with their dour negative football not good you mean? <_<

I know I say this a lot, but I just can't figure out why someone would sack a Liga and Champions League winning coach :lost:

What more could you expect from Capello? He's even forcing Robinho to move (but frankly, he doesn't have the build to even play in Spain let alone in another league ) Why isn't Robinho a starter anyway? He should be getting game time. He's a bit erratic but when he's on fire the boy is marvellous...he doesn't get the game time he deserves *cough* shove over Ronnie *cough* Valencia apparently <_< in the league as well Sevilla drew 0-0 with them too :| He's a fellow American a Manc

    Vamos Los Che!
  22. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Ronnie and Eto'o made up. Damn Puyol and Xavi for their leadership skills <_< What about us? It isn't fair!
  23. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
 I'm not the only one that's delusional I seriously don't think Barca will beat Valencia though. Unless we decide to do something stupid like give the ball to Barca and wait for them to run out of ideas <_<
  24. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Ha! Who do Barca think they are? A win against the 2 best clubs in the world? Highly unlikely *hallucinates*
  25. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
I'm still not passing judgement on the situation but Eto'o is speaking his mind, which I admire
