  2. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Weren't they 4th at the start of the season? it's still an improvement

Many people think West Ham beat Spurs, but it was actually a one man team. The player? One Mister Wenger
  4. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
The score line suggests excitement, but was there any quality on show? If you had it your way Spurs would never win :|

the task at hand isn't THAT bad, but we will be defending deep which will be ever so entertaining <_<

that's the answer I wanted to hear  so now that Barca have lost (because I jinxed them) I guess you owe me one I'm hurt and I don't think the pain will go away...unless we beat Arsenal 14-0

damn Manyoo...you end every record don't you? Arsenal, Chelsea and I'm sure if Liverpool ever had a miraculous streak you'd end it too <_<

Now that you mention it, I remember something about trials, but maybe he doesn't want to move yet or you can't accomodate him into the team? Maybe he really is mediocre I'm sure they'll still be keeping an eye on him though. Carrick is not worth £14mill, He's a classy player and I rate him but £14m is excessive for sure...but that's the price you have to pay for English players now I guess...the market is so inflated...and they wonder why Arsenal don't buy English Hard to blame really...who would you choose; van Persie for £2m or Ashley Young for £10 mill? Hard choice Eto'o wouldn't go to Chelsea I don't think considering his history with them and Jose...he likes the Arsenal and Manyoo styles of play but I wouldn't have too much confidence in those reports. I'm not sure about Manyoo history but I'm willing to bet you've had a better right back than that. Henningborg or whatever his name is...wasn't he any good...all I know about him is that he was the recipient of Redondo's "Backheel of Old Trafford" England have alright options for left wing now (but I guess it has been a recent thing so you're right still): Lennon has shown he can play there and he is still learning, Downing can play there and Joe Cole is great there. Chelsea must miss him so much you forgot about Rafael :persuazn:

2 goals is totally within Barca's reach...as long as Ronnie doesn't miss anymore penalties

You guys are taking on Sevilla, so I guess we'll see what will happen after that match but it just proves one thing: we can be penetrated at Anfield

good who are you willing to kill? :| As long as Barca doesn't lose? it already seems as though your life doesn't make sense I know it'll be hard but Arsenal did it didn't they? Though we don't have the quality, we have the KOP

Beckham and Ronaldo had no choice. They were both forced out I think Robinho is considering leaving as well because he's not getting games

We all know Kaka is better *goes back to worshipping*

Spending millions on a youngster is quite a lot. The recent transfer window saw Gareth Bales touted around for £10million. That's crazy money! He's 17 The market is too inflated. Hopefully he is good. Because he cost us nothing is that so?
  16. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
I meant he was buying youngsters by the millions of pounds in a single transaction Voronin was free. Good for nothing <_< You still have 3rd in the Premier League as well there there *pats* we were eliminated in both comps much earlier and in more embarrassing scenarios <_< I'm sure you'll win against PSV...though the striker crisis doesn't help. Have a little faith

I don't count games-in-hand as points because the ball, as I'm told, is round. You never know what might happen and until the match is won, the 3 points are still up for grabs. Chelsea haven't been the best of teams either this year, so you never really know IMO. The 9 point gap will still put pressure on the Blues to perform in these 'must win' games. If we can beat Manyoo, the news will travel to Stamford Bridge and give them the spark they need to win the match I hope. (fingers crossed )

It might be just me but MANYOO HAVE A 9 POINT LEAD! I'm sure they wouldn't mind settling for a draw at the moment we'll ask TeaCake
  19. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
me too! but I don't think it will happen Manyoo have been unbeaten at Anfield since 2001 and we've kept a clean sheet at home for 30 games or something like that 2-0 preferably but 0-0 would be fine I guess
  20. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Liverpool Manyoo tomorrow  I suspect a 0-0 draw might be on the cards

    Poor Hamburg

That was a great season from Arsenal and you may have a point there... No one remembers the fine season Arsenal had. Everyone just remembers when a Russian invested in Chelsea

Wenger is spending more and more on his youngsters now. He's actually playing in the millions now (but I guess Denilson was worth it (Y)) Yes, Voronin is old as well <_< He adds nothing to our team. I don't even understand why we bought him. I'd rather we pay some cash and sign Klose instead. *sigh* please don't talk about the EPL, it's depressing. Last year and this year we got off to crappy starts :persuazn: if not for those, we'd be up there challenging. Every Liverpool team seems to suffer from a slow start

My opinions are still mixed about Adu, but maybe some more footage of him playing will lead me to a decision one way or another... The buy out is £26million for Torres. I think he'd suit a team that plays fast football. He has the pace and the strength to succeed in England I think, but he'd definitely suit the Manyoo and Arsenal game a lot more than Liverpool or Chelsea. hahahaha, yes that tends to be the case for many deep-lying playmakers. Pirlo can't tackle either and Xavi isn't great but he can do something. Alonso seems to be the only exception (and Gago ) Being England first choice just means England has had no decent right back for the last 10 years Who has really been able to provide competition for him? Danny Mills did an ok job before he came crashing down. Glen Johnson has fallen off the radar. Luke Young has disappeared since the start of the EPL because of Charlton's poor form. To be fair, Gary's runs and crosses have grabbed my eye of late, but I still don't rate him and Brown :yuckky: Here's the message: if a Liverpool fan can tell you a player is not world-class you should listen, afterall our standards aren't very high De Jong? He went to Hamburg and no one has heard of him since. Hamburg are another sinking ship and they're taking Kompany and van der Vaart down with them

    Because Capello is a genius!
