I miss Miss Josie Maran...so I was hoping to bring a little of it back here I'll be visiting the Josie Freaks forum too

These two girls have a lot in common, one factor is that they are two of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Both have had online profiles and journals, not to mention copied and emulated numerous times by self-esteem lacking girls on the internet. They claim to have had some modeling experience and with their looks I don't doubt them. Staci Cole Okay, so she tends to favor the Pamela Anderson-esque heavy makeup and bleach blonde hair but she's like a living Barbie doll. I've never seen a bad picture of her. With her delicate bone structure and perfect features, a woman approached her in a restaurant and asked to take a picture to copy her nose for plastic surgery! She seems to have disappeared from her online activities at myspace and livejournal (due to stalkers no doubt). Mystery girl (I can't find her name) She epitomizes my ideal of feminine beauty. Piercing aquamarine eyes, high cheekbones, tan skin, and full lips. I last spotted her in an online modeling community.

I get what you're saying expert. Most SI models are not attractive to me because I don't think their faces are particularly beautiful (with the exception of Josie and Laetitia) but they have something that appeals to men's taste rather than women's. I tend to look at the face right away, not the body. But for an industry like Victoria's Secret that sells products to an audience dominated by women, Marisa is not an ideal choice. I haven't heard one woman say she thinks Marisa is attractive..but I suppose there are some out there. To each their own! But I really miss Adriana

The idea behind putting especially attractive models in catalogs is to tempt a woman (or the woman's boyfriend!) to purchase what she's wearing. When I browse through catalogs I see Ana or Adriana's gorgeous face and sleek tan body in a beautiful setting I pause and check out what she's wearing and often find myself wanting to purchase the lingerie/swimwear/clothing. Like the one woman who worked for Victoria's Secret said on the VH1 AAA Special, a girl who sees sexy Adriana in that huge gorgeous mansion in the VS commercial is apt to want to buy Adriana's lingerie. Which is why I don't understand the purpose of having Marisa Miller in VS! She has some sort of appeal to men that most straight women would just not perceive as being attractive. Like many people have said, her face....is lacking (to put it nicely), although she has an outstanding body. I browsed through the VS swimwear preview and had to leave I was so turned off.. I Victoria's Secret so I'm just disappointed they would replace their more attractive models with her..
