  1. I remember this one. She said something in the sense that she feels guilty, because she was born this beautiful - that she did nothing to deserve that. It´s not the first time, I´ve read or heard it from her several times. I waited for the "I feel so sorry for children in Africa" phrase and it would be perfect. I´d rather take everyday bitch that knows her moves Are you talking about this? I thought she was pretty blunt/truthful throughout the documentary. I would imagine that alot of models from more humble beginnings feel the same way.
  2. Yes, Michelle Alves. She was in high-demand around then and was cast in alot of hf shows John Pheiffer and Alexander de Betak were involved in.
  3. ^ I don't know why I forgot about her. Her selection seems to be the most interesting. Had she worked for VS prior to last year? I only knew of her from the 2005/2006 fashion weeks.
  4. She was. From what I know: 2000: Ale 2001: ? 2002: Michelle 2003: Michelle 2005: Andi and Miranda (?) 2006: Andi and Trentini 2007: Miranda ? 2008: Candice 2009: Candice, Erin and Lindsay (?) 2010: ? 2011: Bregje and Lais (?) 2012: Bregje and Barbara F Its kind of interesting to see who they choose to be the fit models. Michelle still went to castings in 2002, but I'm guessing it's just procedural, given that they've seen them try-on every outfit already.
  5. I read somewhere that she was the fit model for 2005. It could be wrong though. Heather and Trentini were fit models for 2006, but Miranda could have very well been one as well.

Seems like alot of them are jumping ship to The Society. So many Marilyn girls were underused. I'm hoping that Arlenis leaves too

They did this before with her and then went on to favor Lais instead. A video of her and Jac shooting for VS Swim http://instagram.com/p/fnqDRZiv_W/#
  8. Well then in that case Brazilians aren't portuguese and Venezuelans aren't Spanish ? I don't get what you're trying to say with that? While she isn't Cara, Jourdan and Lily British but she still has those roots. To deny them is to be in denial. And I'm pretty sure that if the VS CEOs didn't decide to have a British Royal Family segment Candice would NOT have been chosen for the bra. This segment is completely dedicated to the new and future king George with him being born and all this year. I guess its a huge deal for those on top. Being part Portuguese myself, not all Brazilians are Portuguese. Portuguese is the national language of Brazil but not everyone who was born there or from there are Portuguese. It like saying everyone in the USA is British because the national language is English I know you meant no harm but, it is somewhat insulting to call Portuguese Brazilian. At least based on my experience it has been and I always have to correct people BTW, Candice herself has said she is South African Dutch. Her last name is "Swanepoel". Go figure! Yes. The vast majority of (successful) Brazilian models, for example, are not of Portuguese descent, but are of German and/or Italian heritage. And then most other Latin nations have a wealth of ethnic diversity as well. It would be like classifying all Americans as English. If any non-English model were to open the segment, I would guess Lily A, for the simple fact that they're inclined to have angels/contracted girls open and because she's ethnically English. I just hope that her walk isn't too bad this year.
  9. It's a very interesting design. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I'm surprised that its worth that much though
  10. ^Yeah, I didn't get that agency part. Most of the models are from IMG, Women, and DNA.
  11. Anastasia Kuznetsova. She actually has a pretty nice figure for a hf model, so I surprised that, out of the Prada newbies from that year, Dorothea was the one they brought back Speaking of Dorothea, I hope she and Maud don't return. I'd much rather see Jac, Daria S,Hailey, or a host of other girls instead.
  12. Right. Emanuela, Gracie, and Lais (?) are Afro-Brazilians, which is a different, albeit somewhat similar, racial/ethnic admixture than African Americans.

Glossy Newsstand uploaded a preview of her Elle France covers: via Dea1983 at tfs
  14. ^They spelled Lindsay's name wrong again. She looks good with darker blonde hair.

    Here you go:
  16. ^She's pretty well known/popular among younger black Americans, but that's obviously not a big enough demographic for VS to keep her. It is, however, the main reason why she would always trend on twitter during the VSFS. But I agree, that she wasn't as big of a hit that the VS team hyped/expected her up to be. She'd probably receive less negative feedback with her current figure than when they initially hired her.
  17. The Dutch are associated with stressing directness and Doutzen exemplifies this. She didn't bring up VS to be malicious, but rather to be straightforward with them. People said the same thing about segments of that Dutch documentary she did some years ago.
  18. Yeah, her friend that posts on tfs went on to mention that she was slated to have three outfits Her booker really dropped the ball on that one. The VS team seems to still at least like her for the show though, albeit only giving her one outfit for the last couple of shows she was in. Had she not been getting married at the time last year, I'm pretty sure that she would have walked.
  19. Yeah, I don't think Doutzen is in the running this year. Following her twitter account, it doesn't seem like she was working today. As someone mentioned up thread, next year, when she goes to space, she'll have a better shot. Maybe she'll open? I'm intrigued by the idea of either Lily or Behati getting it.
