I know this is an ancient post, but just to be clear, Courtney Love is actually crazy in the worst way. The drugs might not help. but they haven't made her that way. Her mind and soul were never pretty places. I also think that there are a lot of really ugly photos of her when she was young, but of course also a lot of cool ones from different ages. I also honestly think the skanky drug addict look when done well - or, nicer put, the out-of-control rock star rrriot gtrrl look - is the only thing that works for her, but it might just be what I'm used to.
