  5. really?? Well, I saw there is a thread of some Ellie, but wasn't sure if it's her, and it wasn't said in your thread that she is Australian so I started a new one but if it's confirmed it's the same person, then I hope mods will fix it
  6. yay, another fan here!! Tash thanks for posting these!!
  7. I agree I'm not a member, but it's not working for me as well and I so wanted to see if tfs has a thread of this new Australian model Ellie, whose polaroids are on models.com today. And of course, new pics of Ania Hey Alexis, I think you should make a Numero avatar for YOURSELF that would be cool
  8. Topics merged - edited by persuazn Ok, I don't have any info about her, but I saw polaroids of her and male model Sonny and I think she is stunning!! People are right when they say now it's going to be an Australian wave in modelling....
  9. Inez van Lamsweerde (b. September 25, 1963 in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch fashion photographer known for her subversive approach to fashion and art photography. She recently won second prize in the portraits singles category of the World Press Photo contest for a photograph of Charlize Theron taken in collaboration with Vinoodh Matadin for the New York Times Magazine. Both Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin are represented by the Matthew Marks Gallery. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have been life partners as well as inseparable photographic collaborators since they met while studying at Amsterdam’s Art Academy in 1986. They are among the few photographers that straddle the line between art and fashion, showing their work in galleries around the world while photographing campaigns and editorials for leading brands and magazines. Their first art projects, Thank You Thighmaster (1993) and Final Fantasy (1993), were developed while van Lamsweerde undertook a residency at New York’s PS1 Contemporary Art Center. They were two of the earliest gallery-based projects to convincingly use digital manipulation to confront the viewer with the implications of the technological era while visualizing an internal dialogue. Van Lamsweerde and Matadin have been a leading creative force in fashion image making. The pair create innovative editorial for magazines like French, Italian, British, American, and Japanese Vogue as well as V Magazine, Self Service, W, Visionaire, Another Magazine, Arena Homme Plus, VMAN, Butt, Fantastic Man, the New York Times Magazine, and GQ. They also photograph advertising campaigns for brands such as Gucci, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Balmain, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji Yamamoto, Narciso Rodriguez and Viktor & Rolf. Van Lamsweerde and Matadin have exhibited their artwork internationally at the Museum Ludwig, Cologne; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; White Cube, London; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and Matthew Marks, New York. Van Lamsweerde and Matadin were awarded a World Press prize for portraiture in 2005 and the ICP Infinity Award for applied photography in 1998. Van Lamsweerde and Matadin are represented in New York by the photographic agency The Collective Shift (for commercial work) and the gallery Matthew Marks (for art projects). Celebrity clients include Björk, Brad Pitt, Janet Jackson, Tom Cruise, Rachel Weisz, Christy Turlington, Daniel Day-Lewis, Natalie Portman, and Madonna. Van Lamsweerde was also the co-director of Björk's music video "Hidden Place" together with the art directors and graphic designers M/M (Paris) (2001) and shot the covers of Volumen (1999), Vespertine (2001) and Medúlla (2003). She recently photographed promotional material for Björk's album Volta (2007) and cover art for the single release "Earth Intruders". Acclaimed fashion designers Riccardo Tisci and Olivier Theyskens admire her work. (New York Times Magazine August 6, 2006) source: wikipedia
