But, hey, this year was FULL of strong performances by men - Gosling, Pitt, Oldman, Leo, Fassbender, etc etc - so it's strong competition out there.

IMO (which I think I already said but I will say it again since I don't remember when I said it exactly lmfao)... I think Leo looked the hottest in The Departed. I just can't even with him in that movie. It's just....sick how freaking hot he is in it. And of course I think he's also gorgeous in Blood Diamond. Blood Diamond would be my second choice. But then I think he's really hot in Body of Lies too. Also in Shutter Island at times too. BASICALLY: ALWAYS HOT. But The Departed is my first choice and then Blood Diamond and Body of Lies next.

I think the "definition" in urban dictionary is "the universal noise of sex" or whatever but it's more or less used a lot just to say like: GOD DAMN THAT MAN IS WORKING IT, PLEASE LET ME GET NAKED WITH HIM SOON. It's basically a one up from calling someone hot or sexy...I believe? Like just adding extra emphasis to someone looking good in a photo/movie/whatever.

I think he and Kate would make a nice couple, but....I just don't think it's there on his end. I don't know about her either, but from all the expressions of the way she feels about him during the press for Revolutionary Road made me think she's either always had more than a friendship feeling towards him or her marriage was just failing at the time and she reached out to one of her good friends, who happened to be a guy and who happened to star in romantic movie with her and we just took it as being more "romantic" than what it was. Still, I don't know anything really, but it wouldn't shock me if Kate was willing to contemplate a relationship with Leo. But Leo, on the other hand...I don't see it. I think he just sees her as his really close friend, and I think that's why he wasn't even bothered with kissing her around her husband because it was just the job and just kissing someone he's so familiar with in the friend sense. But it always shot out to me that Kate when on about being so uncomfortable about it - which I know it's more on her end because her husband was directing but Leo is friends with her husband too and didn't feel awkward about it. SO IT ALWAYS MADE ME WONDER. Also, the way she thanked Leo in her Golden Globe speech - when she didn't even win for RR. Her husband was almost an after thought to me in ways. And she went more on about Leo than she did the people in The Reader, the movie she won for. So...it was just odd. And sweet. But it almost makes me sad because I think, in ways, we might have been watching her marriage crumbling and her just trying to keep it together in front of the press. I put too much thought into that. ETA: Or did she win for RR? I am confused now and I don't remember. If she did, that would make more sense.

Hmm. I like the idea of Anna and Leo. They seem like they'd be compatible. And she's 25! So, it would be a bit of a change. Lol. But I'd say let's go with some type of environmental campaign runner/writer chick who is 30+. <--- I vote for her. Some actress/model/writer/environmentalist/designer/etc that is 30+. I think there is this...I don't know how to say it without making it sound too crazy or like some real serious issue....but I think there is almost this built in dislike of Leo with some critics and people. I think they seem him as a try hard, which I find to be completely absurd. You always see people throw around the whole "oh Leo's making another serious movie yet again" or "oh Leo crying again." Blah blah. But on the other hand, him not winning an Oscar yet almost gives him this ~~vibe~~/~edge~ to some people - it starts the whole thing that gets built around him where people are like: LEO HASN'T WON AN OSCAR YET?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! So? In ways, I think it's a double edged sword. I don't know if any of that makes sense. And Leo is doing non bio stuff with Gatsby and the Django. And isn't Harvey behind Django? UGH. Harvey is annoying. I know he gets people/movies Oscars but for people who pay attention to the film business, his backing has almost become a joke. That's why anyone who is closely associated with him becomes a joke or people start making hints that said person is sleeping with him/paying him off to get somewhere. HE HAS TOO MUCH ~POWER~. That doesn't make sense either. Also yeah, people are up Ryan's ass right now because he's finally hitting the big time but that'll fade when people get over the newness. I thought Colin was great and I think Jesse did a good job too. But Leo was FANTASTICCCCCCCCCCCCC in Shutter Island. That scene at the lake with his wife and kids should have been like AUTOMATIC OSCAR BOOM HERE YOU GO. What shocked me was that he didn't even GET a nomination. I didn't expect a win since the movie was pushed back into February or what have you but AT LEAST A NOMINATION since his performance was insanely amazing in Shutter Island. SUCH SHAME STUPID ACADEMY.

See this makes me not even want Leo to win since it's so freaking political, and I feel even when he does, people will just be like: he was so hard up for one so he paid someone off so he could win it. Still, I hate you Brad. Also I think it was just criminal he didn't get at least nominated for Shutter Island. Please tell me where Jesse Eisenberg was better in TSN than Leo was in Shutter Island. I think Brad's a decent to good actor. He's never played anything that just GOT me the way Leo's characters/movies have done. Still, I just find his whole persona to be grating. He comes across like he knows he's hot shit and as if we should all get on our knees and praise him and Angelina for their adopting children and doing other worthwhile charity things. I think all those things are great but a celebrity should help out when he or she has THAT much money. And I just don't like that his ~true, hard earned, real life~ (as if he should be awarded for just being a dad) is pushed into my face non-stop. Also the dude changes his entire personality and choice of clothing/etc depending on the woman he dates so...no. And, yeah, his interviews are annoying and he says things are too revealing and then questions why the public is interested in his "normal" life with Angelina when he and Angelina put it on our faces alllllllllllllll the time. WOW. A LOT OF RANDOM ~RAGE~.

I swear if Brad wins before Leo....I will like....rip up tabloids with his face on them! LMAO. But, I will. I'd rather George or Matt Damon or someone else win over Leo than Brad Pitt. What will Brad bring his kids to the award show so they can be photographed? ARGH!
