I feel so sorry for Elsa for having to wear that ugly outfit. I hope it's not the opening look though, 'cause it's hideous and I can't see Elsa opening the show at this point, specially this year which seems to be a very dramatic opening. I think Adriana would be perfect for that.

Actually there are 2 fittings usually. So one of them is not for press so there's no makeup and then the second one usually has press coverage plus some shootings so yeah, there is makeup.

The Angels usually wear makeup for the fittings because they also film packages for the show or do press.
