    the basic thing with lightning effects is that you change layer style...in layers window,you'll see somewhere it says Normal...and you can change that to Screen,Multiply,Color Dogde etc.... play around with that and different brushes and opacity & fill...you'll get better in time :D [God,I really hope you understand something from what I said :confused: :laugh: ...I can post screencaps if you need it :rofl: ]
